Holiday Cottages in the Cotswolds

A rolling patchwork of hills, fields and forests and peppered with towns and villages that seem to have appeared from some beautiful, bygone age, the Cotswolds is just waiting to be explored! In addition, the Cotswolds is the second largest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in England, making the perfect backdrop for our superb range of Cotswolds Cottages. If you really want to relax, a holiday in the Cotswolds is the fastest way to slow down.

Spanning six counties, the Cotswolds might be famous for its picturesque villages, but there’s plenty of shopping in the larger towns and cities, such as Oxford, Worcester and Gloucester. However, if you really want to escape the rat race, check out our selection of Cotswolds Cottages that are right in the heart of the countryside. With thatched cottages, Gothic churches and imposing mansions, this is Britain at its best.

What is there to see in the Cotswolds?

Whether you’re escaping with a loved one for a long weekend or taking a break with the family, there’s plenty to see and do – and we’ve plenty of Holiday Cottages in the Cotswolds to suit your needs. Kenilworth Castle is a prime example of a crumbling stronghold and its extensive grounds are often the site for medieval festivals and jousting displays. If your kids like their activities a little on the wilder side, a visit to the Cotswolds Wildlife Park and Gardens will bring them face to face with giraffe, let them watch rhinos having lunch, and even hang about with some lemurs!

However, if it’s just the two of you, a trip to the famous Lavender Fields in the summer is about as romantic as it gets, perhaps followed by watching the sun set from the Devil’s Chimney, in Leckhampton.

With 80% of the Cotswolds used as farmland, there’s no shortage of places to eat, serving local meats and seasonal vegetables, to create delicious dishes. You’ll find plenty of gastropubs and fine-dining establishments, but there are also lots of regular pubs and inns, where you can enjoy a snuggle in a snug, and some home-cooked food.

Our Holiday Cottages in the Cotswolds allow you to visit this stunning part of England at any time of year, giving you the chance to see how the region’s character changes with the seasons.

About Cotswolds

"This cottage was small but very cosy. The sound of the rushing water in the little brook at the end of the garden gave it an extra idyllic, peaceful note. The view from all the back windows was very beautiful. The kitchen in the cottage was well resourced and the open fire in the living room was pleasant. The cottage is situated in a small beautiful village, with good hiking routes all around. We loved our stay and had a great time. Although it was comfortable enough for us for the four days we spend there, it is however not a place for people that have problems with stairs and are rather on the tall side. It is a vertical cottage, with four levels and only one bathroom. That is, it is inevitable to have to go up and down the stairs several times during the day (and maybe night, for some). The stairs are, if not completely spiral, close to it and rather steep. One has to be also careful with some parts of the celling in the top bedroom, as well as in the entrance to the kitchen from the back garden. There is the danger of “banging heads”."

"The welcome pack was amazing, the best we have experienced. The cottage was clean and very well presented but it seemed a bit tired. The carpets have seen better days and the bathroom could be updated. The side bath panel was marked. Although care had been taken to mention the steep stairs and age limit for people staying at the cottage nothing was mentioned about the low beam in the top bedroom and the extremely low back door. This was particularly leathal. My husband is only 5ft 6 ins and he knocked his head several times, especially when putting things in the recycling bins outside the back door. For Health and Safety reasons this should be addressed with the door lintel being marked as low. We loved the quirkiness of the cottage and the beds and bedding were lovely. It was also very nice to have sample toiletries, cotton wool and cleaning products in the kitchen. We would definitely use Snaptrip again and would recommend them to others."

"We very much enjoyed our Cotswold holiday as the weather was fine and the gardens we visited spectacular. However, the cottage Beckwood was a bit disappointing. Up to now, we have been happy to pay Snaptrip premium prices as in the past we have always been very impressed by [and relied on] their premium products - ie very high quality cottages immaculately presented and equipped.Sadly Beckwood is tired and in need of an upgrade - it is no longer a premium product of the usual RR standard.3 examples - very poor paint work with much chipping [and some missing plaster] throughout the house; 2 dessert bowls for a 4 person cottage.... - really?; a very dirty [and hence unhygienic] sofa - loose covers are loose so they can be cleaned when needed!"

"Our first return to Beckwood since our honeymoon in 1998, and we loved every minute. Charming and quirky a great place for a romantic break. Blockley is lovely, there are lovely walks from the front door. Further afield we walked around Moreton, Stow and Chipping Campden - all nice but Stow the best for shops and pubs. Must recommend the 'Horse and Groom' at Bourton on the Hill (5 minutes by car), absolutely fabulous food, but book as it can get busy. Lovely place, outstanding food, great service as well. Thanks for a great break, look forward to coming back in the summer or autumn so we can make use of the lovely garden. RS, Leicestershire"

"A very high standard property. Excellent location. Close to shops and village centre. You don’t need to get back into your car until you leave. Lovely garden (probably sharered). Nit picking: The Property was an annex of the owners house. Could have done with an oven, not just a microwave. Cleaner not so good at cleaning hidden areas eg behind bed. For those who don’t know Bourton it is a beautiful village, but consequently is a very busy tourist trap, especially at weekends.Overall we had a lovely stay, we would recommend the cottage."
