What our customers say about their holidays

    • Sonia - Verified booking

It was a lovely place to stay, clean, new and cosy. Very central with shops right outside your window and everything you need need by. Would definitely stay again. Not with my mum though due to all the steps to get to the top. Peaceful building with no neighbour noise and the cleaner was so lovely, would bump into her on my way in and out and she was just a joy, friendly and had time to be a lovely host with it, she’s an asset to your company. Felt like home, really beautiful place, id sit at the window up in the bedroom and stare out across the roofs to the church and listen to the birds and church bells going off. We did have a pigeon fly in once it was hilarious. Hosts are lovely, always answer as quick as possible when I did message, and very helpful ? We stayed for two weeks and it’s not prepared enough for this. Silly things like the fridge freezer is tiny, so for a family you would need to go out everyday to buy food. No iron, ironing board, hoover or broom to clean up after yourself. Washing up was hard as no plate rack on the side and things would move and slip about if on the side drying when you put the kettle on. New sound proof window in the front room would be great, so whoever is sleeping in the on the sofa bed doesn’t hear all the deliveries and noise outside during the night and early morning ( not the hosts fault it’s a busy street ) also be nice to open the window properly and get fresh air. Another sofa if more than 2 are staying as you have to then sit on the dinning room chairs and it’s not comfortable. Warn people about the lower bit in the bedroom, till we found out ourselves bashing our heads hahaha, it’s all good though. Knocked some sense into us. My mums that tiny she would just glide past it. Thank you for such a lovely place. ?

This small one room apartment was well set up for a stay of a few days and for limited meal preparation. It provides places to hang and unpack clothes. The kitchen is small but functional. The location is close to cafes and late night budget restaurants. Although there is no parking on site there is a long term parking lot within a 10-minute walk. There is a good sized shower and adequate hot water and water pressure. Building security is good and the location is quiet at night. Although this property is one of many managed by a private company, we found them responsive to our emails. The property is in a pedestrian zone with restricted access by motor vehicle. It is only possible to load and unload luggage within specified hours. The long stay public parking lot is within a 10-minute walk; however due to many one-way streets it takes a bit longer to drive between the parking lot and the property, and sat-nav is a necessity. We wouldn’t recommend booking this property when travelling by car. The property is difficult to find as it is behind an unmarked door and down a narrow alleyway. There was no information at the property about how things work; for example no internet login provided and it took about 12 hours to get the necessary information. We were not given info about how to leave the property, for example expectations regarding dish washing, or not. While there were towels on site we had to buy our own soap, dish soap, and toilet paper - not so easy late at night in an unfamiliar town. The mattress was thin and there was only one bedside lamp. We did not feel treated as welcome guests. Finally, full payment was required months in advance with a similarly long timeline for cancelation.

      The positives-Overwhelmingly location, location, location.

A minute walk from beautiful town centre & stunning park. Cirencester is an absolute delight. Lots of independent traders sit alongside decent high street stores. In addition 25 charity shops. A thriving town. Great green spaces for walking you & your dog & ideal base to explore The Cotswolds. All this is is a "High Recommend" The challenges. The basement is based under a very old beautiful house. For the first couple of days, there was a musty smell. Perhaps due to it being closed & not heated. The accommodation is VERY tired & could be stunning-but needs decent financial investment. The beds are comfortable, the bedding is old in the bedroom without windows. I prefer to sleep under a double duvet. A single does not cut it as an adult. The lounge is basic. The kitchen is adequate-but utensils & cutlery are not clean. There is a cupboard containing sauces/condiments that I opened & shut immeadiately! The wet room is good. The washing machine & Fridge freezer are also modern. Internet connection is appalling. If you are looking to work and or watch movies you will be hugely frustrated. I am sure it is due to the basement build & deep walls. Internet connection drops out continually. We moved the router into the hallway which helped slightly. Overall if you are not fussed about the comfort, facilities & cleanliness of your accommodation then this one is for you. Otherwise, pass this one by.

No repetiría. Apartment was spacious, comfortable, and in a good location. Price was very reasonable for the area. The admin was incredibly excessive and off putting. They required an additional form to be filled in after booking, then the hosts sent TWELVE messages to me about my 2 night booking and many of them were pages long. This caused me a lot of unnecessary stress given that I was visting for work. There was very little soap and no toilet roll in the bathroom. There was also no washing up liquid, which made it hard to keep the flat and myself clean. The bed sheets were stained with what looked to be blood. If you don't mind all the messages and you are happy to bring your own soap and loo roll then it's not so bad, the price was incredibly reasonable. But I would also note that there's no parking outside, so you will need to pay for parking and carry bags a short distance through town.

    Frequent questions

    • Is it worth going to the Cotswolds?

Yes, visiting the Cotswolds is definitely worth it. This area of picturesque villages and rolling hills in south-central England offers a quintessentially charming English countryside experience. The Cotswolds is known for its stunning landscapes, historic architecture, cozy pubs, and delightful walking trails, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers, history enthusiasts, and those seeking a peaceful and idyllic getaway.

    • How many days do you need to see the Cotswolds?

The number of days needed to explore the Cotswolds depends on the depth of your exploration and the activities you wish to engage in. For a general visit, a minimum of two to three days is recommended to get a taste of the region's charm and visit a few of the picturesque villages. However, if you wish to thoroughly explore the area, enjoy longer hikes, and immerse yourself in the local culture, a week or more would allow for a more leisurely and immersive experience.

    • Do you need a car for the Cotswolds?

While having a car can provide more flexibility, convenience and save time, it is not absolutely necessary to have a car to explore the Cotswolds. The region is well-connected by public transportation, which can take you to many of the popular villages and towns. Additionally, there are guided tours and local transportation options available for visitors who prefer not to drive. However, if you wish to explore the more remote areas or have the freedom to explore at your own pace, having a car can be beneficial.

    • What is the most famous Cotswold street?

One of the most famous streets in the Cotswolds is Arlington Row in the village of Bibury. This picturesque street is a row of charming cottages dating back to the 17th century. Its unique architectural beauty, characterized by stone buildings with steeply pitched roofs, attracts visitors from around the world and it is widely recognised as one of the most iconic and photogenic streets in the Cotswolds.
