"Arrived a little early so called owner to see if we could wait outside as no where open for a drink nearby. Said she would speak to husband on site but not to forget the £50 deposit!! Great start. We waited outside and were surprised to see it was pretty dull looking. Not bright like the online images. No garden or river nearby that we could see just a patio. We were allowed to check in early about 3.30pm. Inside was small open plan but looked nice and clean. Shown around and how.to use hot tub etc and deposit (no idea what this was for) was handed over.Well equipped kitchen and all ensuite rooms. But if it sleeps 6 why is there only 4 chairs in the lounge area which was tiny! We were.left milk and.fresh eggs which was a nice.touch...along with a manual telling us what the owners expected us to do on leaving.Nice central location for getting about. Nice Chinese in Abergele called wongs and a good takeaway too.Had a great week out and about. Especially recommend the Locked in Escape rooms in Abergele for a great evening.Hot tub was nice although I don't think it was working as it should be. Needed to be screened off was open to camp site and people going to farm no privacySadly we had a few niggles which could easily be sorted.Cat.....if you like to sleep.with windows open at night be prepared for the cat to come in a some early hour..both downstairs and upstairs on numerous occasions meaning being woken up by girls to get the cat out...okay if you like cats but if you scare.easily beware of this one.Wet room....cannot shower for.more than a minute as due to poor drainage and not enough slope water goes under door and floods bedroom...not good when your shoes are there.Cooker...no instructions on how to use oven as faded on dials.Windows no nets so had to keep curtains closed as.people.coming and going at farmhouse all the time...so not very private.Fridge....very noisy all the time new one needed.Tv nope useless and if you don't have a Now tv subscription you will need to get one or you're watching nothing. Broadband was okayish. No mobile signal at all.Cleaning...having read the folder on how to leave the property...can honestly say we have stopped in many cottages and have never been told we have to strip the beds...what are we actually paying for? Probably left it cleaner than when we arrived certainly cleaned up a lot of dead flies and spiders from behind beds.No sockets near any mirrors ladies.Found folder notes from owners quite short and.sharp came.across as unfriendly on paper.....quite nice in personCould not leave until property inspected....and then got deposit back.Although it's a great.location it needs some.tlcNot like the images as obvious paint and varnish has faded since taken. Oh and no bbq as shown in images on website.Would not go there again felt it overpriced for.what it is despite the location."

"The best feature of this house is it being completely detached and private with glorious views of the distant Snowdonia mountains. The large wood-burning fireplace dominates the living room, not a pleasant feature really, unless lit. The weather did warrant it at times, but the supplied lighter needed batteries and with just 3 logs, not really enough to bother with. The background heating was welcome for the mornings, with the use of an additional portable radiator. The window in the bathroom was impossible to close and let in a lot of cold air which had to be combated with having the fan-heater on quite a bit. We are not ones to watch TV very much, but saw no point in having a large flat-screen TV when there's no signal and no advice given about it in the guests' folder. Had someone called initially it could have perhaps been explained, but with a broken Sky changer and 2 others relevant to the make of TV, we considered it would have been better not to provide a TV set. Why have it listed in the cottage details? To be marooned indoors in inclement weather is a little miserable with the rather strange design of fairly elderly upholstered chairs, all (including the sofa) with no head-support.The cooking facility is good, with excellent-quality saucepans necessary for the ceramic hob and thankfully a spacious fridge-freezer. There is little space though in the kitchen area, the microwave having to be sited across the draining board. The separate work-bench for food preparation is a boon though. The outside space for children is good, and the weather-proof picnic table on the lawn, comfortable chairs are needed really though, as mentioned in a few visitors' comments as otherwise take the wooden chairs outside with a cushion- not ideal. The use of the Leisure Club was a real bonus, we all loved going nearly every day. We did have a walk each day, from the door and also one from a nearby village, also another in the Snowdon range."

"This is a lovely cottage on a working sheep farm, the views from within are far reaching and beautiful and the location is perfectly situated for the surrounding area. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything needed to make yourselves at home. The downstairs bedroom was lovely and cool for sleeping in the heatwave we had when there and there were plenty of nearby areas for us to walk the dog first thing in the mornings, including the river. The owners were very friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. There was a pint of milk in the fridge on our arrival together with tea and a pack of Welsh Shortbread, perfect for a nice cup of tea after the long journey there.A delightful and peaceful place to stay, a little piece of heaven! My only advice would be to take provisions with you for the first couple of days as there is not much choice for food shopping nearby."

"Wonderful location, spectacular views and ideal central base for exploring lots of fantastic parts of Wales. Only minor disappointment - and it is very minor - is that we thought the freezer would be in the cottage block and easily accessible, whereas it is in the adjoining barn. We did not use it, and managed easily with the fridge and its freezer compartment, so it was just a minor misunderstanding on our part, but otherwise everything we could think of was provided. Really comfortable, warm beds, a lovely welcome tray with tea and coffee, home-made biscuits, flowers from the garden, milk in the fridge. Very nice bathroom and walk-in shower. The information folder with planned routes is brilliant, and we used route 1 daily and part of route 2- very clear instructions. Work commitments meant we had to leave a day early, which was a shame, and we hope to return soon."

"We enjoyed our Easter weekend in Tan Y Bryn, the village is lovely and the views amazing. There are many places to visit but you do need a car to visit these. The cottage was clean and well equipped. Sadly the weather was not kind to us and the access lane became very muddy and the parking space at the end of the garden was difficult to negotiate due to this, however there is space to park by the wall opposite the front door. Easter Monday morning saw a slight overnight sprinkling of snow which made the scenery even lovelier! The cottage was a short distance from our home which made it ideal for a weekend break and a good base for many of North Wales's tourist spots. In this modern day and age I think WIFI would have been nice, if only to source places to go, but it wasn't a deal breaker for a weekend away."
