"My biggest disappointment is that this complex of about 14 or more barn extensions which have been newly built, have not been made accessible for disabled people. This made me quite sad in this day and age, it would not have cost anything for the access to have been ramped rather than building one step up into the accommodations as they have. Their response was it is not advertised as disabled friendly, which is quite hurtful to be alienated like this. Once you are in the building it would have been totally accessible then. Also outside there was no drop kerb to get from the accommodations to some of the facilities such as the laundry or the shared garden areas, which could have been easily done, especially at the step of the laundry which has now caused a water logged area directly into the laundry. A drop kerb could have meant that we could access the accommodation through the bedroom at least. Shame no consideration was given in the build for disabled people and young families. There were at least two of us wheelchair users in the complex at the time also families there with prams, who would have found the access valuable. The barn style accommodations were nice, fitted out with Ikea and rooms clean and spacious. Just the towels could have been cleaner. The grounds are being developed around the farm, there are peacocks that were very beautiful, but not so lovely when they are calling throughout the night and your getting little sleep. So if you are ill or need sleep something to consider. Was difficult to find the complex as no sign posts and had to knock on several doors etc. We were not sent an access code etc as gated entrance so stuck outside for a long time. Would stay there again. Nice play area for children on site. Dog charge expensive especially when you have two to pay for and they don't cause very much cleaning. It also states dogs free of charge but this is not the case once you book. The farm is elephant grass farming so not suitable to take your dogs in those fields, quite muddy. There is a normal field adjacent to the buildings."

"My overall rating for this property is 2. I would love to give a good review but I can't. I wish I'd read all the reviews rather than relying on just the review rating before booking. One of the main reasons for booking this cottage was that it was advertised as being detached, but it isn't. It is attached to next door by the owners "office" which someone seemed to be using most days. As this cottage is the owners actual home they had moved into the summer house at the end of the garden and were always pottering about the place. This included entering the property when we were out to turn on the central heating which had been turned off at the start of the holiday. The property description states there is use of a freezer and dvd player this is also incorrect. There was no dvd player, we could have taken one with us if we had known, so had to buy one and the freezer had a lock fitted as it contained the owners food. Luckily he was willing to let us use it because we had taken food for the freezer with us. The one and only shower we could use was adequate but need the head cleaning as very little water came out.The one saving grace for this property is the location as there are so many places to visit without having to travel too far."

"Beautiful village and accommodation generally good. Twin room unfortunately cramped with the combs. It was a bit dusty so had to vacuum on arrival. Space standards down stairs good and kitchen and lounge well equipped. It was beautiful weather for the week we were there and would have been ideal to have had a private area to sit outside. The outside space is situated at the front door which means sitting almost in the car park just a few metres away from several neighbours coming and going in their cars, some coming in just metres away at quite a speed. I hadn’t anticipated there was absolutely no private place to sit outside when I booked and felt this detracted from the enjoyment of a holiday property when the weather was perfect for bbq’s and being outside with family...we opted just to go out to eat instead. It might be worth mentioning that if you are taking a dog there is no garden and the property accesses unimpeded into a common car park and thoroughfare. Also the noise from the M40 is so unfortunate for the otherwise unspoilt Warmington."

"This was an delightful weekend from beginning to end. After spotting this gorgeous cottage on the Internet, I called the booking agency to make enquiries. The agent was absolutely superb and we couldn’t have asked for better booking service. We then received all of the information we required about the cottage including directions and contact details via email. We arrived at the cottage to a very warm welcome by the owner Will. When we entered the cottage it had a wonderful relaxed, soft and comfortable feel to it and had everything we needed. Lovely views of the sheep grazing and beautiful walk down to the charming little pond. We barbecued in the evenings and made our way down to the quaint little pub in the village for lunch which had great food. We will definitely be returning to Ashbrook Cottage on a yearly basis and cannot thank Will, his wife and family for a truly wonderful and memorable weekend in the country.Allan, Javier and friends."

"We recently stayed at Swallow Barn and our whole group loved it! We particularly liked the cosy feel even though it is a large property and the swimming pool. The owner was on hand for anything we needed and was very helpful. Personally we would have appreciated more showers, there are plenty of bathrooms but only one with a proper shower. Our group are all shower lovers so we had to have a rota or use the hand showers in the baths. This is personal preference but worth knowing if you are thinking of going to Swallow Barn. Generally it is in very good condition and the decor is fabulous. We did find some areas which could do with a deep clean but appreciate it is in the country. That said we all had a fabulous time and would stay again."
