"the house was lovely. Plenty of room for us, five adults, five children (ages 5 to 16) and a large dog.En-suites to every bedroom (6), plus a shower on the ground floor, and a hosepipe in the garden for the dog. Masses of room outside for all to play or relax. Although the garden was NOT secure for a dog. The house was comfortable, beds were good, all the showers worked, we did have to ask for patio door to be unlocked and for bulbs to be changed in one of the showers, and one of the windows would not close, another seemed to be "bent" in its frame. On the gas hob two out of the five rings would not work, and the main oven packed up altogether. they did let us use the oven in one of the other cottages that was not let out, but that was a pain trying to cater for ten in a very small oven, and having to walk it across the way. But we coped and had fun! There was very limited utensils in the kitchen, no mixing bowls, no dishes for the oven and I had to wash ALL the pans before I could use them. Built in bbq, but no utensils for that either. They did not supply toilet rolls, only a small amount in each of the toilets! For the amount we paid there really should have been a few spare, no welcome pack either. There was nothing for children to do, no games in the house, just a pack of cards and a couple of old books. Luckily we took our own. The hotel was quite a walk down a very steep hill, (OK going down) we took ourselves down every night to use the pool, which was clean, but could do with updating, broken tiles need to be fixed. We didn't eat in their restaurant, but the menu looked OK. Apart from that Hotel their was nothing else in the vicinity, just a small local shop. The beach was lovely for us with lots of driftwood and small shells and rock pools, not for small children, as it is quite "dirty sand" . Would I go back? Yes, because I like the quiet and peace, and I know to take EVERYTHING I might need. No, if I wanted to be near a nice beach. Value for money?, I think it is overpriced. But it was quite a late booking, and there were very few places available for a big party plus dog."

"This has the potential to be a really nice place for large groups to stay as all bedrooms are ensuite. unfortunately while we were there the drains were smelly and gurgling, one hot bath tap in the attic bedroom wouldn’t work until it was manually pulled forcibly outwards. The cooker has all the temperatures rubbed off and a knob is missing. The ailing dishwasher failed by Thursday and despite phone calls ( no phone signal didn’t help) and a visit to the hotel on day 2 with a list the septic tank wasn’t emptied until Friday- the day before we went home. The cottage is spacious and nicely furnished and the Internet is ok, there is no phone signal at all but the owners have provided a payphone. There isn’t much to do in Ferryside but lots of nicer places nearby. Access to the beach is over the railway line which is The main line to Carmarthen. The tide was out most mornings so the beach wasn’t visible until the afternoon. There is now a pedestrian ferry to Llansteffan beach opposite timetables are shown at the Ferryside station, it doesn’t run every day There is an indoor pool in the Three Rivers hotel available for cottage guests but it’s also used by folk on the caravan park next door. Food in the hotel was ok we went to the Sunday carvery which was crowded but had lots of choices of meats and an enormous choice of vegetables. If you like you like your meat well done you’ll love it"

"Very nice holiday cottage, very 'compact', but comfortable enough for us.Shower / toilet room very, very small. Radiators insitu, but not connected, the 'storage heaters' were the little electric gas filled radiators that did't throw out much heat (we went October half term, so quite cold). We lit the log burner every day, but again that didn't give out much heat as the logs supplied / bought from Gareth were rotten, so burnt away really quickly.Gareth & Rosemary were welcoming and always around if required though.First holiday cottage I have come across without any games/books in, there is a games room, by the children's play area, but if you wanted to play any of the games in there, there was an additional charge, and also no heating in there as it was just like a summer house. Even though we didn't expect a 'welcome pack', there was only half a toilet roll, and 2 dishwasher tablets available.Views and walks very good, and close to Tenby, and other activities for the children.Even tough I sound negative about the cottage, it was nice, and we did have a nice time."

"Just back from a week at the bungalow and it was lovely. Spacious, clean and well equipped with everything we needed. It was a real home from home and hubby loved the hot tub. Garden was big and private, the dogs loved chasing each other around it. There was a nice selection of garden furniture and a BBQ too, but it was a bit cold so we didn't use it, great for the summer though. Not much in the immediate area but Caernarfon isn't too far away so this wasn't a big issue. The view from the bungalow over Snowdonia was amazing, the higher peaks had snow on them too for a few days, was excellent waking up to that in the morning. The camp itself is well run and the owners are very friendly and helpful. We didn't use any of the amenities as we were out every day, but in the summer the pool and play area would be great for the kids. Would definitely recommend it, much quieter than the large 'chain' sites and more personal and welcoming."

"The bungalow itself was lovely, all the amenities and equipment were great. It was clean, the hot tub was fabulous and we did enjoy the stay. However, the pictures are misleading in that it is directly connected to the reception and is not a stand alone property. The view from the front windows include the caravan directly on front and the view from the third bedroom was of a garage which was open and in constant use during the day. To access the garage, the workman would walk down the side of the cottage and you could see him planely when you were in the hot tub.The garden also has a massive gas tank in it, which again spoils the aesthetic.Parking might have been OK, if it wasn't for the workman who blocked us in/out. They were always very polite and moved their vehicles, but it was a bit of an annoyance. Finally, we paid over £100 a night for the property and for that price, I really expected a spare toilet roll."
