"A massive "thank you" goes to the proprietor of Much Ado cottage, for providing us with such a fantastic base for our holiday. The cottage was bright, clean and comfortable, with all mod cons. They really had thought of everything. Often, when you live in holiday accommodation, there can be a lack of equipment, such as crockery, cutlery etc. Not here, whilst the cottage provides accommodation for three people, it had loads of "stuff" in the kitchen, that made it easy for you to cater for guests. A particular favourite was the washer-dryer (yes, really!). In our house, it's an absolute necessity - and, quite simply, I hate coming home on the Saturday to piles of washing and ironing, when I'm back to work on the Monday. Catch my drift?! The cottage is based slap, bang in the middle of Stratford upon Avon, and there's exclusive parking for one car, in a car park, which is part of the Mews-style setting. There is also an additional parking permit available, to give you on-street parking as required. You really can't go wrong at this cottage!"

"The location of the property is perfect - with all the ’Shakespeare’ sites within easy walking distance - literally a few minutes walk to all sites, the canals, walking along the river Avon, loads of eateries, and a wide range of ’olde worlde’ drinks venues. The visitor is spoilt for choice. The property itself is in excellent ’home-from-home’ condition with all amenities and comforts required just to relax and chill over a glass of wine after a long day on foot exploring the world and town of the bard! And don’t forget the neighbouring sites about 15-30 minutes drive away such as the stunning Warwick Castle - worth a whole day visit - and the towns dotted around the Cotswolds, everyone worth a visit. This property is well worth a visit and most guests, including myself, will return again. The hosts have certainly done their homework and are offering a good deal at excellent ’value-for-money’. April 2011."

"We loved this cottage from the moment we entered the front door, it was warm and welcoming and very clean, the inglenook is just gorgeous.Yes it has very steep stairs and the bedroom floor very uneven, BUT this is a 500 year old cottage so not sure what people expect and it does say this in the description and yes the bathroom is downstairs but wasn't a problem for us, there was plenty of hot water and the washer/dryer was a big plus.Yes it's a little dark but plenty of lighting is supplied via numerous lamps and a ceiling light all in all a lovely homely cottage in a lovely area with plenty too do, lovely pub and food quarter of a mile away.We didn't really want to leave, the only thing being we don't think some former residents have left!! (I will leave that to your own conclusions)Gill and Peter next door are lovely, very chatty and informative."

"Had a brilliant week at The Byre, it's lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings and magnificent views across open countryside (the picture doesn't do it justice). It's clean and comfortable and easily big enough for two. The owners are very friendly, happy to chat if you want to but not pushy, and they've gone out of their way to ensure you have everything you need for your stay. It's well positioned for exploring the area. Stratford upon Avon is a 10 minute drive and there are plenty of pretty Cotswold villages nearby. There's a very decent pub just 100 yds from the door but the nearest shops and bus stop would be in Bidford, a short drive away. I would recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting the area."

"I stayed at the cottage with my elderly mother and we had a lovely time - the cottage was spotlessly clean and tidy and well equipped for our needs. The 'welcome pack' was a lovely touch and much appreciated. The walk into Stratford for the shops and theatre took us about fifteen minutes (but mum is in her 80s with angina so doesn't walk very fast) and was a pleasant walk, along the river for most of it. The best feature, in our opinion, was the garden, it was neat and tidy and lovely to sit there in the afternoon with a glass of wine and soak in the sunshine. All in all, a fantastic cottage for two people and we would definitely stay there again when visiting Stratford"
