Snaptrip says

Wigrams Canalside Cottage is highly praised for its idyllic and peaceful location, with guests enjoying the picturesque surroundings and wildlife. The cottage is described as comfortable, well-equipped, and beautifully presented, with a particularly comfortable bed and a generous welcome pack. While there are some minor comments about the sofa comfort and Wi-Fi connectivity, the overall sentiment is extremely positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with guests consistently noting it is very clean. There is, however, a single mention of cobwebs which slightly impacts the score.

The location is frequently lauded for its tranquility, beautiful views, and proximity to nature and local amenities. It is considered a highlight and a significant factor in guests' enjoyment.

Comfort is generally rated highly, especially regarding the bed and the overall cosiness of the cottage. However, there are several mentions of an uncomfortable sofa, which suggests room for improvement.

While the reviews are positive about the facilities provided, there is insufficient detail to accurately score the maintenance aspect. Guests are satisfied with the kitchen, bathroom, and Wi-Fi in the bedroom, but mention patchy Wi-Fi in other areas and a slippery shower.

The thoughtfulness of the hosts is highly commended, with many guests appreciative of the welcome pack. It should be noted that such gifts, while often provided, are a courtesy and not guaranteed.

The cottage and gardens were immaculate with everything you needed supplied in the property and a lovely welcome basket with bread, milk etc but the homemade flapjacks were the best we'd ever tasted

The accommodation is perfect for a couple. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom has a fantastic walk-in shower and the bedroom has sufficient storage and a very comfortable bed. What makes this cottage extra special is the position and the views from each window. I loved the visiting wildlife, especially the heron, the ducks and the moorhens. The four cheeky resident hens stole my heart. It was good to know that the owners were nearby if we needed anything but they were unobtrusive so we felt that we had complete privacy. They also provided the most generous welcome pack that we've ever had in a holiday cottage. There are plenty of good eateries within a short drive, also a well stocked and friendly village shop which also serves hot pasties and coffees to take away or devour on the couple of tables in front of the shop. So although the location is rural and extremely peaceful, it does not feel remote. I would have no hesitation in recommending this little slice of heaven to anyone who appreciates countryside and wildlife.
