"We spent our Christmas at Deep Meadows and had an enjoyable time. On first impressions, the house was well presented, beautifully decorated and clean. It had a lovely atmosphere and the rooms were large and seemed to have everything we needed for a lovely Christmas. However, on closer inspections, as mentioned in other reviews, the house does need a lot of maintenance. We were surprised there was no Welcome pack or basic store cupboard items eg. salt and pepper (we had forgotten ours). On the first night we had to call maintenance team as the bedroom on the top floor had no heating. They were very prompt in providing us with heaters which we used for the entire stay. We also had an issue with the bed in the same bedroom and we resorted to pulling the mattress onto the floor and sleeping as we felt the bed frame was not stable and was going to break. Needless to say we slept on the floor for our entire stay. There were lots of other issues - broken drawers in a bedroom, mould in the basement shower/toilet, sticking shower door and we had an issue with the drainage in the shower as the external drain was blocked due to leaves and other debris which we had to clean in order to use the shower. On Boxing day, we had no hot water and had to call the maintenance team again who found the issue was due to a sticky switch! The football table in the lower games room was broken and missing the essential item - Ball! We had brought board games with us as there were none provided despite there being two games rooms. The house was a few minutes walk from the beach and as we had good weather we enjoyed walks along the beach. Deep Meadows will be a lovely location for a Summer holiday. It is without doubt that it is a beautiful house but will be better once maintenance issues are sorted. Despite all the issues, we created many happy memories which we will remember for many Christmas's to come."

" The location of this house was amazing. Fantastic views over the beach. The outdoor area was lovely. The infinity pool was beautiful and heated. There was an added bonus of the hot tub. Outdoor seating was poor with only four garden chairs for 13 people. The bedrooms were lovely and clean and supplied with clean bedding and towels. Bathrooms again were spotless. The kitchen was lovely and clean and well stocked. Plenty of room for everyone to sit around the table for dining. The cleanliness of the rest of the house was poor, the floors did not appear to have been cleaned and if you lifted the rug there Dirt underneath. The beach house had the amazing views and could have been a lovely place to sit, unfortunately seating was poor, only four chairs, one of which should’ve been taken to the tip a long time ago, The foam had no cover on just a throw chucked over it. The view from this area was beautiful with glass doors the whole length which was lovely but we had an incidentent where a child went to run in and ran straight into the glass as it is hard to see if the doors were open or shut. The main lounge was nice with fire and TV. It had 3 sofas, only one of which was comfy, again still not enough seating for every one to sit together. There were lots of wires and overloaded plugs which was a worry with young children. We did not use the steamroom as it did not smell too pleasant. Despite listing faults in this review we had an amazing family holiday which included the dog. Every single one of us loved it here and had the best time. We all felt relaxed and at home here and made memories we will never forget. "

"The property is tired and has an uncared for feel about it. The property was cold. Lack of insulation. Radiators needed bleeding. Shower on first floor was either sorching hot or freezing cold. Shower in basement no water pressure so a dribble. The water from the first floor bath runs across the patio and down the drive due to poor connections to the external gully - no wonder the property has damp issues. Toilets with no sinks to wash hands. There is a constant noise from the pump, which impacts on everyones sleep. Some beds have no headboards. Bedside lights dont reach plugs. Bedroom draws are broken. Kitchen units extemely shabby and in a poor state of repair. Old draw unit used as a plinth. Tiles falling off walls. Dining room chairs too wobbly to risk sitting on. No frying pan! Cheap cutlery. Outside shed door broke and full on dirty old mattresses and bed frames. Moss growing on window ledges. Windows - seals damaged and dirty. Rubbish left by bin. Dirty roasting tray in oven. Grease film across utensils and top of microwave. No folder of house/area information."

"ie up and down a steep hill. A welcome pack of starter groceries would have been great , Easter being one of the more expensive weeks to hire the Priory. If you are looking for a magnificent old house beautifully furnished in walking distance of the beach with a large enclosed garden and enough space to accommodate 10 adults or a mixture of kids too, with an aga and a normal oven, this place ticks the boxes. It is not cheap but it is amazing. If you want a washing line look elsewhere- apparently it would spoil the look of the place! The walk to the beach is 5 mins but the house is up a hill. Mr Asda will deliver groceries but may struggle to find the entrance to the private drive. There is a tesco express and a local butcher and baker just down the road and Narberth 15min drive away has some lovely foodie shops. This was an excellent place to stay. We were a party of 8 people and we had every comfort and facility we could possible wish for. The accommodation exceeded our expectations and we had a wonderful stay."

"After many years of booking several cottages a year there are only a few places that I would go back to. Sycamores is one I would most certainly go back to. I’ve also recommended it to others. The pictures don’t do it justice. The house and garden are a great size. Plenty of room. We were 7 adults, 5 young kids and 2 babies and there was plenty of room, plus some spare. So many bedrooms and bathrooms that we never had a problem. The double lounge also helped separate the adults from the kids when they wanted their space. The babies have just started to walk and the house (with all the stair gates) was fine for them to roam fairly freely. The house was clean and tidy and the owners were lovely. They are next door if needed, but we didn’t feel over watched or anything. They gave a fantastic welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and cake, which was really yummy. As I say, I would totally recommend this cottage and would go again."
