Guests say

Cwmbrandy Cottage is a well-received holiday rental, praised for its cosy atmosphere, beautiful garden, and excellent location for walks and exploring Pembrokeshire. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, the log burner, and the property's charm and character. While some guests noted issues with cleanliness and maintenance, the majority found the cottage comfortable and the owners friendly and helpful.

Most guests found the cottage clean and comfortable, with a few noting evidence of previous pet stays and some cleanliness oversights. The presence of dog odours and a need for a more thorough clean in some areas were mentioned, but these were not the majority view.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, proximity to local amenities, and accessibility to walking paths and the Pembrokeshire coast. The remote setting and natural beauty contribute to a peaceful stay, although the access track may be challenging for some vehicles.

Guests generally regard the cottage as cosy and comfortable, with a log burner for chilly evenings and a secure garden for pets. Some guests, however, mentioned that the furniture could be more comfortable and that the mattress quality could be improved.

The cottage is well-equipped for a holiday stay, with a good kitchen and strong Wi-Fi. However, some guests felt that certain basics were lacking and that the property could benefit from better maintenance, particularly regarding the shower and soft furnishings.

While the reviews reflect that the owners are friendly and helpful, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate a level of thoughtfulness in terms of welcoming gestures. Therefore, a score cannot be provided in this category.

Limited facilities for clothes storage but all in all a stress free holiday location.

Lovely location, garden was secure for dogs, kitchen was well equipped & it felt very private, lots of lovely features such as the log burner & wooden floors, staircase was very sweet & the attic room was very specious. Unfortunately, it was very run down. The double bed was incredibly uncomfortable, when we stripped the bed at the end of our stay we could see it was an old mattress with just a mattress topper in an obvious attempt to make it more comfortable. The duvet was yellow & dirty. Thankfully, the white bedding was fresh & clean. The sofa cushions were non existent, no springs or padding left in the tiny sofa & the tub chairs incredibly uncomfortable. The shower was the biggest let down with a lot of mould in the grout & excessive mould on the bathroom ceiling. Cobwebs & dust everywhere. Bedroom lighting was awful, very very dull & dark & the furniture was old & marked very badly. We don’t watch much tv on holiday but if we hadn’t been able to get out we’d have struggled as not even a fire stick & minimal channels. The cottage was very very basic & over all a let down. We still enjoyed our weekend but feel that honest reviews would be much more helpful.
