"Lovely, spacious, clean and comfortable with private garden. Situated at the edge of the village, very peaceful. Extremely helpful and pleasant owners live next door. Lovely tea time welcome pack including biscuits was a lovely touch. Love the open plan, living, dining and kitchen area. The quirky shaped bedrooms are delightful. The whole cottage is flooded with natural light and the interior stonewalls are highlighted with multiple lighting options as evening falls. Would recommend a hand rail is fitted in ensuite to assist with getting in/out of elevated shower cubicles. Personal opinion, I would prefer to have a dishwasher instead of a washing machine. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay here again."

"The reason for the poor rating is that the grass was cut on the Friday when we arrived which was fine but then we were sitting out in the sun on the following Monday midday and a lady on a sit down lawnmower just came into the garden and started cutting the grass. I had to hold my dog back who of course was loose in the garden. Nobody had said on the Friday would it be alright if we come and cut the grass on Monday and when asked to leave she was very rude. The owner came round later that day with the attitude this is my property I can do what I like. We were rather upset and went home the next day. We have never had this happen before usually you are left to enjoy your holiday in peace"

"What can I say. Fantastic all round. Garden is so big. Pictures on website do not do this place justice. One of my dogs is fear reactive so I felt so comfortable knowing that we were not near any other property. Welcome pack out of this world. The owner Liz certainly knows how to make your stay so comfortable and relaxing. She knew my mum would be watching Wimbledon so even made up a basket with pims and strawberries and cream with a lovely note saying '2 Centre Court tickets for Wimbledon '. How very thoughtful. X The views out the front of the property beautiful. Thank you Liz for making this holiday one of the best we have had. Our 2 dogs loved the place too. X"

" Lark's Rise turned out to be an outstanding midpoint location to catchup for the best part of a week with friends. The house was perfect being both large and cosy at the same time. Excellent finishes throughout with everything you need for a short stay home away from home. Great kitchen and dinning/living open plan to entertain each other in, with underfloor heating under foot. Tucked away in the beautiful sandstone rural village of Gayton, which was great for either walking up an appetite before dinner or walking it off over tea. Super clean and tidy and exceptionally presented. "

"A very pleasant and peaceful spot, outlook is open fields to the rear of the cottage. Location excellent for the Northampton area; Silverstone nearby and Bletchley Park about half an hour away.Tea, coffee, washing up equipment and kitchen roll all supplied. Adequate crockery, cutlery and cooking pots etc. Owners also left a welcome pack of biscuits.Kitchen/ sitting room could do with a few extra lights and the central heating controls a little difficult to work out. Also the shower cubicles had quite a high step up so may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.Overall a lovely place to stay to explore a nice area of England."
