What our customers say about their holidays

    • Elizabeth - Verified booking

“The house is a beautiful sanctuary" It is warm and inviting and has everything you could need for a great family stay.

We particularly appreciated: -The space – Disney Package - Good wi-fi - beautiful bedrooms - large bathrooms - Cleaning Products - Board games - Washer and dryer. The house is beautifully furnished and the Master Suite with dressing room and double shower is enviable! The whole house was spotlessly clean. The sofa was very comfy and all beds were comfy. The hot tub was enjoyed daily and was great after a day out. From the back of the house there are incredible view of the sea and the sunsets were awesome. The garden was child friendly. We recommend: - SC2 for the Water Park and Ninja Tag – Prestatyn Beach for walks and amazing coffees from the Nova Centre – Rozi’s award winning Indian Restaurant for takeaway - food was awesome and cost around £50 for enough of a feast for 4 adults and 3 children. The Zip World was so much fun and FFOREST Activity Centre for High Ropes, The Plummet, Tree Hoppers. I wanted to do paddleboarding and there is a place in Rhyl but the sea was a little cold for me. The Dyserth Waterfall was worth a walk up and also the North Wales Garden Centre had a great selection of plants and gifts – well worth a visit We would suggest new pillows for beds as they are so thin and large serving spoons and casserole dishes. A nice coffee machine would make my mornings better. Our host Kayleigh responded promptly to any queries during our stay. Do we recommend - Oh yes. Will we be back - For sure.

We have just returned from a week in this beautiful house, and want to use this review to both thank Catrin, simply the loveliest host we have ever met, and to share a few tips we picked up to consider when booking.

The house itself is perfect for large family groups, we had 2 young children and their parents, grand parents and great grandparents and the layout worked really well. The main living floor has only 2 steps and includes 1 double and 1 twin en-suite bedrooms, ideal for the older family members (be aware there is a tall staircase to the main floor from the entrance, best to use the ramp and walk around to the other door to access if walking awkward). There are then 2 staircases, one to 2 Double en-suite rooms and one to the final double en-suite, so the kids and parents had one staircase and we had the other. The house has great shower rooms in very bedroom and one bathroom on the ground floor level next to the large Games / family room. The house is maintained to a great standard and has all that you could wish for in terms of Media, Netflix in every room, great pool table and lots of space for kids outside and the hot tub with changing room and showers was brilliant I would really recommend following the advice to book a meal from The Sorbus Tree whilst your there, easily top restaurant standards and really good pricing for the quality you get and Catrin and Hannah (TST) coordinated to get it in the fridge whilst we had a day out. We would also recommended Catrin’s nomination of Bryn Tegid as a day out, along with days out locally at both Loggerheads and Bala.

The property suited our needs for my dad's 80th birthday celebrations perfectly.

We enjoyed the spacious kitchen perfect for entertaining, although could have done with a few more larger serving/salad bowls and wine glasses. The table could seat 12 people. There was a utility room with toilet, sink, freezer and washing machine which was brilliant for storage too. The bedrooms with 2 doubles downstairs and 3 twins and a double upstairs made sleeping arrangements easy. Having the pool table, games room upstairs was fine even though my dad stuggles with stairs, he made it up and down with assistance. There were plenty of bathrooms with good showers, but we found the toilets to be very high though. We were short of a few bath towels in the downstairs bedrooms, but managed with what we had. The lounge had a huge corner sofa big enough for us all to relax on. The property was light and airy and very warm. We also enjoyed the hot tub which was one of the best ones I've been in, it even had a ring of foot massaging jets in the middle. There was a lovely view down to the sea from the kitchen windows. The feel of the place was very peaceful and it had a good vibe, we would certainly return and recommend it to any large group. The decor was tasteful and the layout of rooms made very good use of the space.

We have just returned from a fabulous week at The Mount.

Stunning property in a great location. The master bedroom is just amazing with a view of the sea from the balcony. The games room (complete with a pool/air hockey table and an arcade machine!!) and the hot tub were a massive hit with everybody. The kitchen is stunning and huge!! And the garden/patio area is absolutely perfect. My children, nephews and niece played out there all week on the trampoline and played with the football on the huge lawn. We’re all sad to be home. There’s some great places nearby to visit, we had plenty to entertain everybody all week. We visited a few different beaches (Prestatyn, Rhyl, Talacre and Colwyn Bay), Dyserth Falls, Tir Prince Market, and The Welsh Mountain Zoo. There’s plenty of shops nearby too. It’s a shame the indoor water park in Rhyl is closed for maintenance for the summer as this looked fun. The only small suggestion I would make is that there was a tv in each bedroom. Only 2 of the 4 bedrooms had a tv. This is obviously just personal preference and wasn’t much of an issue, just that all the kids would have liked to watch a film at night in bed. We’ve had such an amazing time and would 100% return in the future!

Fantastic Accommodation in a Good location.

There were 8 adults and 4 11-13 year old children in our group. We have been going away together, for a week, over the New year period for 12 years, staying in large houses in various UK locations. Salem is one of the favourite top 3 properties, it was so good we were hoping to book it again for this year but it was already taken. The property is extremely well laid out, spacious, comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. It had everything we needed, the kitchen is well equipped with two ovens large fridge, a smaller separate freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a large table that easily sits 12 people. The separate playroom upstairs was great for the children to get away from the adults and play together. The Location was perfect for us, 30 minute walk, 10 minute drive to beach, town centre and supermarkets only a short drive away. Local shop, chemist and two Pubs within a 2 minute walk, the Red Lion did lovely food and is very popular with locals. The hot tub was great and we used it several times.
