"Even though we knew from the website photos that this cottage looked nice we didn't realise how beautiful it was when we arrived. The location has lovely views across the Conwy Valley to the mountains of Carnedd Llewelyn and beyond. The location is actually very good as you can get to Conway, Llandudno and the north coast easily, Snowdonia is 20 minutes away, Betws-y-Coed 10 minutes, west coast and Anglesea easily achievable within an hour. Beautiful Bodnant Gardens are within a couple of miles and a lovely farm shop & restaurant is not too far from the cottage either. There are some fantastic places to eat within 10 minutes drive radius. Lllanwrst is also a nice town to visit and for walks along the Conwy river. The quality of the cottage is superb with oak flooring in the kitchen, beautiful soft carpet in the living and bed rooms, a fantastic contemporary bathroom with a quality bath and shower, c/w underfloor heating. There's a log stove for those cosy nights in c/w enough logs to get you going for at least a couple of nights and plenty more logs are available from the owners log store, which they'll ask you to pay a small fee based upon an honesty system. We stayed for 4 nights in February and I used another basket that's all.Even without the stove, you won't be cold as there is a modern central heating system that really warms the place up with easy to use controls. The kitchen is equipped with a full height fridge freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer all integrated. I couldn't find anything lacking in the utensils department, and my wife and I do quite a lot of cooking from scratch. The living room has comfortable clean furniture and a modern large format Netflix enabled TV. The bedroom is spacious and has the most comfortable super king size bed I've ever slept in, there's also another large format TV mounted on the wall here too.The cleanliness of this place is outstanding, and you feel like you're the first people in - it just smells so new, and the towels, bed linen, pillows seem like they've been bought new. The general cleanliness of the building, the carpets, bathroom, kitchen is of the highest standard we've ever come across. It gives you the impression that the owners take their business seriously and want people to enjoy their stay. There are 22 acres of land, with ponds and lakes all of which are available for guests use, which you'll find in the information pack along with a comprehensive list of things to do and places to eat.The owners (Andy & Jo) themselves are a lovely couple, they rang us the night before we set off to ensure that we knew where we were going, how to get there, how to contact them if need be and even sent us a WhatsApp pin on a map to tell us exactly where we were going! Andy popped over once we'd settled in just to run us through the basics of the cottage. They seem to know how to treat their guests because they were so unobtrusive, and yet we had the impression they would be so attentive if anything was needed. On a last note, we have been many places in the UK and the world in private s/c accomodation, and while we've (luckily) never had a bad place I'd put this experience in my top 5, and it would be no.1 in the UK.Thanks to Jo and Andy, for being such excellent hosts - you've nailed it!"

"A lovely cottage with stunning views in a very peaceful location. Great for driving to local sites such as Snowdon, Llandudno, Anglesea, Llanberis etc and a good base for exploring North Wales. If you want to get away from it all then this is most definitely the place to do it. Kitchen is well equipped - some of the items could do with testing/replacing but I'm sure these things get looked at regularly. Very handy to get a supermarket delivery too as the nearest shop is a fair distance away. Lovely to have a welcome hamper of Welsh Cakes and tea bags too. Wifi is a great addition too. Bathroom is fine, shower is a little on the weak side, but that's not the end of the world - it does the job.The conservatory is a great place to sit and watch the world go by, you'll never be bored of that view either (even saw some fast jets). On a clear day you can see the mountain range in the distance and in the mornings when the mist gathers in the valley, it is simply stunning. The garden is secure for dogs that don't jump too high or are small enough to climb through. Our spaniel loved all the good sniffs on offer! There are also dog bowls so no need to take your own. The surrounding area is gorgeous, and to be honest apart from the occasional farm traffic you won't see many people or cars in the area! bliss! no neighbours! (yay!)There aren't many footpaths that go straight from the property, you will need to be prepared to get in the car and drive to go for a good walk, but this isn't really an issue. (just be wary of the satnav taking you down the narrowest of lanes at times - which is unnecessary!)All in all - If you enjoy peace, quiet, relaxation and to get away from it all then please do visit this great cottage! it has everything you need, is in a good location for exploring the Snowdonia National Park - and best of all is cosy and inviting."

"Cwm Bychan is a nice cottage situated in a beautiful location with panoramic views of the welsh countryside and on clear days views of Snowdon. The location of this property is ideal if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of towns/cities and the daily commute and just Relax!Sit outside and enjoy the views, enjoy the peace and quiet that the location of this property has to offer. It is peaceful outside besides the odd farm vehicle the only noises you will hear is the bleating of sheep. The cottage is comfortable and welcoming and well laid out with a large corner sofa in the living room and a Freesat tv/dvd player. The living area and kitchen is an open plan arrangement and features a table with four chairs, whilst the kitchen has the usual appliances you would expect to have. The cottage also features Wifi and has a landline provided. The cottage has two bedrooms, one has a double bed and the other room has two single beds and both rooms have some storage. We all found the beds to be comfortable. The owner provides a welcome book full of information regarding the property and useful information about the nearby villages and places to visit. The home owner also provides a "Welcome Package" which is a nice touch with some Welsh treats inside it.Our family group really enjoyed our stay in this cottage and we would highly recommend others to come and enjoy what this cottage and Wales has to offer."

"24hrs before our holiday was to commence, we were contacted to say that the oven was broken and they had placed a temporary oven in the kitchen as a replacement. We were given the option to cancel, but at such a late stage and with a party of nine, we felt we had no option but to continue.Arriving at the property, it is in a great position, lovely sized rooms and clean. Outside at the rear of the property can best be described as totally neglected, over grown and nothing like the photograph in the advert. The kitchen is a disappointment and the ‘temporary ‘ oven was the size of a small microwave, not what is expected in a self catering property which has a capacity of 10+. Looking at the over would suggest that it had been there for some time as it showed signs of use. The existing ‘range’ cooker was not particularly clean and only the hob worked, sort of. Ovens are available next day from many online outlets, why it was not replaced is a mystery.Overall a nice size house, outside the garden was so overgrown it was unusable and the kitchen is a problem for anyone who wants to cook for more than two."

"We couldn't have been happier with Gorse Barn! It's even better than it looks in the pictures, keeping some of the original barn features but with modern touches. Even after a lovely day out we were excited to get back and enjoy a cosy evening in front of the wood burning fire watching films or doing a jigsaw puzzle. There are so many lovely walks in the surrounding area too that you're spoilt for things to do. The hosts couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful during our stay and we can't wait to book our next visit!"
