"The kitchen is very well equipped (everything we needed), spacious and clean, the living area is cosy and comfortable. There was a good selection of useful tourist information and maps, which was very handy. The bedrooms are fine, although the master bedroom is dominated by a large (but comfortable) four poster bed, which restricts the space around two sides of the bed. The bathroom could do with updating, the main issue being a shower attachment over the bath, with a low window and deep window ledge on one side (obscured glass and not overlooked, so not a problem from that point of view) and a glass shower screen on the other side. Unfortunately, hard as we tried, we could not manage to shower without soaking both the window sill and the floor, so were mopping up all the time. Not sure how to solve this, but perhaps a shower curtain on the screen side and a waterproof blind in front of the window sill. Suspect this issue could explain the prevailing damp smell when you enter the cottage. Also, if you are over 5 foot tall with corresponding leg length, it's difficult to sit on the loo without touching the (nice and hot) towel rail. We had fun and games trying to get the water hot enough from the shower and it turned out that you needed to turn the heating right up to fix that particular problem. Luckily it wasn't during a hot spell, so we just had to open some windows to get the temperature about right, but neither a very economic or green solution."

"We very much enjoyed our weeks stay in Honey Bee cottage. The cottage is very well equipped with the owner having thought of everything a guest might need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. For example, a pair of binoculars is provided so that you can really savour the extensive views over Mounts Bay from windows in both the kitchen area and the lounge area. The cottage always felt warm and welcoming on our return to it, even on the two days when a cold wind was blowing in from the coast. There are pleasant garden areas on three sides and its rural location means you can enjoy a lovely walk right from the front gate up on to the fascinating area of Tregonning Hill. The coastal path is also reachable on foot if you are feeling more energetic. The owner was most welcoming and helpful, and on the one occasion that we had a n electrical problem, arranged a repair by an electrician promptly, despite it being late in the evening. We would certainly book Honey Bee cottage again and would have no hesitation in recommending it to others. The only very minor negative comment we would make regards the size of the double bedroom, which, because of the large four-poster bed in situ, does mean a tight squeeze for one of the occupants to get to the far side. It didn't in any way spoil our stay, but it is worth mentioning for the benefit of future guests."

"Curlew Cottage suited our needs perfectly. It's in a lovely, peaceful location within easy walking distance of a (dog-friendly) pub serving good food and of Prussia Cove where dogs are allowed year round. Views from the property and field are superb. Everything else you want to visit in SW Cornwall is within easy reach. We are a family of five with a large dog so three separate bedrooms and two bathrooms made things easy. The lovely garden and accessible field at the back ( as the ponies were away) were ideal for the children and for exercising our Retriever. As others have said the lounge/dining/kitchen would be a bit tight for six adults but this was about the only compromise. Standard of finish and equipment are high and the owner Pat was very welcoming. When you holiday with a dog you have to think 'dog' (and 'kids') all the time especially when the weather's hot and Curfew Cottage turned out to be a good choice in view of this."

"Willow Cottage is a very clean, cosy cottage and is perfect for exploring the Lizard and around Mount's Bay. The owners had kindly left a welcome pack and also treats and blankets for the dog. The secure front garden meant we were able to relax with our Airedale off the lead and with a dog friendly pub within a stone's throw serving good pub grub, and a very safe dog walking field at the top of the road for morning walks meant she had a great holiday too. Porthleven nearby has some fantastic pubs and restaurants, including a new Rick Stein's fish restaurant (which also has 2 dog-friendly tables!) so we were spoilt for choice. The only suggestion we have is that the owner makes it very clear in the cottage description that no towels are provided. Bed linen is included but it should be stated in bold that no towels are provided."

"nice quite place to visit, liked spa bath and four poster bed bit tight one side ,pitty not much open till late june didn't help, not many shops near only in helston and penzance, weather very nice except for one day,pat nice lady and very helpful ,don't really think this is ideal for pets ? cant leave pets alone ,cant let them on settees ,have to walk them outside before they are aloud to go in garden ,but not very many places to walk your dog and small road outside property are a bit dangerous, only one pub in village and nothing else very dissaponting"
