Aberdovey 8 miles. This detached cottage, formerly a village/church hall, is situated in the charming village of Llanegryn. Renovated to a pleasant standard with a bunch of character, this retreat is ideal for couples to enjoy a romantic break, or friends anticipating a cosy getaway. Wander into the open plan living area overlooked by high ceiling beams and accessorized with warm features. You can relax on the lovely sofa's in front of the wood burner come night time or simply rest at the dining table with your favourite meals. For a slight twist, a king-size bed lies to the other side of the layout, so you can sleep peacefully amongst all of the intriguing décor. Just off from this, a shower room will leave you feeling refreshed after an adventure filled afternoon, with all the essentials you may need. A kitchen rests further round, light and airy, with contemporary fittings. Here you can prepare those home cooked meals at ease throughout the day. The small breakfast table is perfect for relaxing in the morning time with a nice cup of tea. Lastly, a double bedroom is complete with pretty bedding and storage space, adjoined to a classic en-suite shower room. When the sun is shining, why not make the most of the pretty garden to be at one with the scenery. The village of Llanegryn lies in the beautiful Dysynni Valley, in the south of the Snowdonia National Park, close to all of the delights of Tywyn with its sandy beach, and Aberdovey with its boat trips. There is much to see in and around the area to suit all tastes.

Llanegryn is only 4 miles from Tywyn, home of the Talyllyn Narrow Gauge Steam Railway, and a sandy beach with a collection of water sports. The village of Aberdovey is close by, renowned for its sailing, sailboarding, fishing, boat trips and a championship golf course.

We have stayed at bramble cottage twice and can never fault the cottage just extremely disappointed the property is up for sale

It remains the nicest place we've ever stayed in; clean, warm and comfortable as well as being incredibly convenient as a base from which to visit the surrounding area. Some places show signs of "tiredness" over the passing years, but it's a credit to the owners and hosts of Bramble Cottage that it has continued to get better and better.

If you were designing a holiday cottage from scratch this would not be it. However it is in southern Snowdonia with all the restrictions that come with a national park. The photographs and description accurately reflect the property. It is in a very peaceful spot, yes the local bus passes, around 4 times per day, and there is some agricultural traffic, just as I would expect. The property is dog friendly, you have to be a little careful with the enclosure arrangements but its not too restrictive and as you would expect in a rural area with mainly sheep farming you must keep your dogs on a lead in the surrounding area and be aware of traffic as, typical of rural areas, there are no footpaths and the lanes can be narrow. I believe the property is a converted village hall, if that is the case then its a great use of an otherwise redundant building, we are certainly happy to accept the limitations it brings and will be delighted to return.
