The bathrooms are all on the same floor, and it isn't clear, but it's not a problem in our opinion. Clean an comfortable, this modern cottage is an island in a working farm. It was great to watch the sheep being herded by the working dogs, and a few retired dogs who also live in the grounds of the farm, who roam freely and will have a fuss. Occasional internet is enough. There is not a sound at night, and whilst looking at the stars on a clear night, it was almost as though we could hear our own heartbeats!

Host very helpful with directions over phone/text. Just as well as Sykes system where one had to download an App and create a password to get all this was wasted on us as we haven' t got a smartphone or satnav. Other holiday companies we have booked with have emailed the directions along with the key details and general information. Simple and straightforward. Would Sykes please bear that in mind.

We also enjoyed meeting the hens and dogs. A couple of very small things: a hair dryer would have been useful. The TV has only one HDMI input so if you want to use both the DVD and SKY, you have to change the plugs in the back each time. A simple piece of kit would enable the user to swap these with a switch without having to fiddle with the back of the TV each time to change from one to the other. Perhaps the joining instructions could include the fact that satnav is not helpful ! The host texted me a helpful guide to getting from Machynlleth to the farm, but because of my poor signal it arrived too late and I initially drove to the wrong farm.
