Successfully refurbished in 2019, this lovely cottage is deceptively spacious inside and offers well-appointed accommodation throughout ensuring guests have a comfortable stay, and is perfectly suited for a couple, two friends or a small family. The cottage boasts a welcoming sitting room with plenty of seating, rich warming reds compliment the 'living flame' gas fire, lovely in the evenings when you just want to relax, there is also a foldaway table and chairs, providing a place to sit and enjoy a meal together while you chat and reminisce over the days adventures. The light and bright kitchen extension is modern and leads out to the pretty rear courtyard garden, which enjoys a sunny aspect, making it a lovely spot to enjoy a relaxing drink or perhaps a barbecue. Upstairs, there are two individually styled bedrooms, with crisp white linen and lovely fabrics, both serviced by the family bathroom. The cottage has some wonderful walks close by, the Manod Mawr and Bach mountains including the hidden Manod Lake, all offering lovely scenic views. The town of Blaenau Ffestiniog, once the capital of slate quarrying and in the 18th century known as the "City of Slate", is just 1 mile away and offers a selection of cafés, tea rooms, pubs and shops. If you are seeking thrills and spills, then look no further than Zip World Titan, Zip World Caverns and Bounce Below. Antur Stiniogs world-class downhill tracks and trails are also within reach located here. For a more sedate day, visit Llechwedd Slate Caverns or venture on a journey on the Ffestiniog Railway which connects to the Welsh Highland railway for a truly unique experience. Slightly further afield, visit the harbour town of Porthmadog with the enormous beach at Black Rock Sands and the Italianate village of Portmeirion just 20 minutes' away. The picturesque National Trust Bodnant Gardens and the majesty of Mount Snowdon are all within easy reach, making this charming cottage the perfect, year-round holiday retreat for a couple or family alike.
