I was happy to see decent knives and pans. The sofas could do with a good clean as they look grubby. Beds were tired and very uncomfortable, too soft, cheap sprung mattresses which had seen better days. Most people expect a bit of luxury on holiday and these were far from that. One headboard kept falling off. There are no blinds on the two downstairs velux windows, thus making the entire apartment light at night and early morning waking too early. The gardener visited at around 6pm when we were relaxing for the evening, the strimming and mowing went on for 2 hours. Couldn’t hear the TV, set the dog off barking, and stressed us out. Maybe a sensible idea would be mid morning mowing when guests have left for the day trips out. On the whole it was a nice stay but those few things spoilt it somewhat for us. Location was excellent and Bala itself has some lovely places to eat out.

The high street 1 minute away is also nice to have so close, mix of restaurants, pubs and the co-op was handy. Bala lake is a 1 minute walk from the cottage, it’s beautiful and was lovely to walk around with our dog! Lots of dog friendly places to visit! Would recommend to family and friends.
