Guests say

Meadowcroft is a beautifully maintained cottage in a peaceful rural setting, perfect for families and those seeking relaxation. Guests consistently praise the stunning views, well-equipped and spotless accommodation, and the inviting hot tub. The hosts are described as friendly and responsive, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. While a few minor maintenance issues and kitchen equipment suggestions were noted, these did not detract from the overwhelmingly positive experience. The thoughtful touches and tranquil location make this a highly recommended retreat for a memorable stay in the Welsh countryside.

Cleanliness is frequently highlighted, with guests describing the property as spotless, beautifully clean, and well maintained. Only one review mentioned some mould around window frames and minor wear, but this was an exception among otherwise glowing feedback.

The rural location, stunning views, and peaceful surroundings are repeatedly praised. Some guests noted the property is a little remote and a short drive from shops or activities, but this was generally seen as a positive for those seeking tranquillity.

Guests found the cottage warm, spacious, and comfortable, with special mention of cosy beds and soft bedding. A few minor comments were made about the bunk beds being creaky and the sofa being low for some, but overall comfort was rated very highly.

Facilities such as the hot tub, enclosed garden, and well-equipped kitchen were highly appreciated. Some suggestions for improvement included extra pans, better kitchen utensils, and minor furniture maintenance, but these did not significantly impact guest satisfaction.

Many guests mentioned thoughtful touches such as welcome baskets with essentials and treats, and attentive hosts. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

We enjoyed our stay here for the week. There is a wonderful view from the outside seating area and the hot tub was excellent although a gazebo over it would give some shade from sun or rain. The beds were comfortable enough. This is a prefabricated bungalow which has been modernised. It sits next to a main road frequented by motorcyclists. Since renovation some items have become worn and in need of replacement. There was plenty of cutlery and crockery, but some of the pans needed replacing due to damage of the non stick coating. The coating on some of the baking trays was completely flaking off. ( Recent reports say that this is an on going health hazard). There was only one plastic cutting board and really there should be a number of different ones for meat, fish, poultry vegetables etc. A metal fish slice would have been useful as would a pair of kitchen scissors. There were only two of us, but we found the under counter fridge small. It has a small freezer compartment to freeze ice for drinks, but you will need to take freezer bags. The small freezer in the garage was a necessity for us for keeping meat, chicken etc for the week. A tall fridge freezer instead of the tall storage cupboard in the kitchen would have been better. The sofa in the lounge was new although too low for us. The wooden furniture in the lounge and bathroom is showing signs of water damage. The dining table in the conservatory has paint marks on it and is also showing signs of water damage as are the chairs. The table could do with being stripped and refinished or perhaps covered with a plastic table cloth as in France. There is some mould around the window frames in the bathroom and conservatory which could do with being removed.
