Enclosed front garden with sitting out area and garden furniture. Hot tub for 6 (private). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: 3 steps in garden. This property has a natural water supply via borehole. The track to this property is rough and steep, low cars may struggle with the track. The owners take their Corsa up each day with no issues!. This well-placed detached property is perfect for exploring all that Mid Wales has to offer enjoying lovely views with a private hottub which is undercover meaning guests can enjoy it in all weather, and the beautiful Offa’s Dyke walking trail which is 177 miles long and is situated close by. Located just 4 miles from the popular town of Kington which has a great mixture of cafés, restaurants, and local shops for guests to enjoy. There is also a golf course which is one of the highest in England and Wales, with views over the Brecon Beacons.
Nearby there are walks aplenty for the more active from just out of the door of Middle Hanter you have a great array of walks to enjoy all with dramatic views of the surrounding hill and there are many open gardens to explore including Hergest Croft Gardens in nearby Kington. The property is just 13 miles from the popular town of Hay-on-Wye which is famous for its many book shops and annual Hay Festival, which attracts many visitors each year.

We had a wonderful stay at Middle Hanter, made even better by the wonderful weather we were very fortunate to have in April! The cottage was well appointed, and laid out with everything you could need for your stay. We had a couple of issues that we logged with the owner Annabel who confirmed that they would be rectified and that didn’t deter from the enjoyment of our stay in any way. Annabel was a fantastic host, very informative and helped us with info on the local walks.One thing that I forgot to mention was that I think a bath sheet for each person would be beneficial as the largest towel didn’t even meet in the middle for me, and I’m an average size 14 female, so my advice would be to take your own towels if you’re size 14 or over! 😅 very trivial I know, but worth noting. Views were fantastic, and we loved our neighbours Toby & Poppy the Goats! (Even if our dog wasn’t their biggest fan!)

Loved our weekend at Middle Hanter. Amazing location on the side of Hanter Hill with great views and walks from the doorstep. The cottage is really well equipped and lovely and cosy with a safe enclosed garden for dogs. We would definitely return.
