About this property

The delightful Green Coast Awarded Freshwater East beach is just a 3 minute walk from this cosy and comfortable holiday accommodation on Freshwater Bay Holiday Park, making it perfect for a couple or small family wishing to enjoy the stunning south Pembrokeshire coast.

And if you plan on walking along the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast Path, we are situated just 3 minutes away from this too!

There is a cafe, shop & restaurant situated just by our lovely beach - search 'Jacks at the Longhouse' in Facebook. They often list special events and dining specials.

In addition there is another pub nearby called The Freshwater Inn. They serve lovely food and are well placed to showcase beautiful views across the bay. There is an amazing ice cream van in the beach car park

Some of the many nearby beaches are Tenby (one of Wales top seaside towns), Manorbier (and its imposing castle), Barafundle Bay (regularly listed as one of the top beaches in the world), Broad Haven (on the edge of the Stackpole Estate) and Freshwater West (which is great for surfing and famous as the location for Shell Cottage in 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' film).

Freshwater East offers golden sands and clear blue waters backed by green craggy countryside and sheltered rocky sections. The dunes behind the beach are a local nature reserve known as The Burrows. The village is situated to the south of Lamphey, on the south west of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. You will find a pub and a restaurant as well as plenty of accommodation. The Coast Path in either direction is a delight. Walk east to remote Swanlake Bay and on to Manorbier, or take a journey west to Stackpole Quay, then carry on to Barafundle Beach. Freshwater East has a history dating back to the Iron Age, with the remains of a fort at East Cliff. During the Victorian period it was part of a busy social scene and very popular for outings and picnics. Lamphey is situated just 2 miles away and offers a small shop, a traditional pub and two restaurants, as well as Lamphey railway station on the Pembroke Dock branch running services along the West Wales Line. There are many watersports to take up in the area including; sailing, canoeing, surfing and water skiing, or you can simply relax on the beach and play ball games. With its elevated position, overlooking the bay, this wonderful destination draws visitors from all over. Pembroke is a medieval walled town about 4 miles north, with a magnificent castle, shops and tea rooms. A destination not to be missed!

The owner has gone to a lot of trouble to make No. 34 a home from home [unlike some other on the site which are quite tired and dated!].

It was actually bigger than we expected, nice a clean. Lovely beach a short walk away, however we spent most time on Broad Haven South Beach only about 10 minutes drive away. Our daughter loved using the body board that was in the green unit at the back of the property. The bar / Restaurant on site was very nice. Staff and food couldn’t be faulted. Would recommend doing the alpaca walking this is also a short drive away. Would definitely recommend coming here.

The apartment was amazing. Clean and tidy and we could not believe how well equipped it was. Everything that we needed was there. The owners had thought of absolutely everything. Nothinh had been scrimped on. All fixtures and fittings were great quality including towels, kitchen utensils etc. The location is perfect only 2 minutes away from a gorgeous beach. Site was quiet. Boys loved the arcade in the pub on site which meant they were happy and we could enjoy a nice cold cider. Staff in the pub were lovely too. Would definitely recommend staying here and we will definitely be back and booking for next year.
