Snaptrip says

Guests generally appreciate the Shepherds Hut for its cosy charm, unique experience with alpacas, and tranquil location. The nearby pub adds to the appeal, offering a friendly atmosphere. While most find the hut clean and well-equipped, a few noted areas for improvement in cleanliness and maintenance.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found the hut to be clean and tidy, though some mentioned issues with cleanliness under the beds and the presence of pet hair. There was also a mention of a dirty microwave and wall hangings.

The location is praised for its tranquillity and proximity to local attractions and wildlife. The nearby pub and marina are well-received, contributing to a positive view of the location.

The majority of guests found the hut comfortable and well-appointed, though there were comments about the bed size and an intrusive smoke alarm light. Overall, comfort levels were satisfactory.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the hut providing necessary amenities and a clean site. However, suggestions for improvement include better cleaning under furniture and an electric kettle to enhance convenience.

While some guests were delighted with the facilities and the presence of alpacas, there is insufficient information regarding thoughtful touches such as welcome gifts to accurately assess this category.

Other than that, we had a lovely time.

Most holiday lets have a little welcome vase of flowers, or small pack of bisc, or scone and jam and leaflets on surrounding areas. In other words - we expected what you see on the advertising pics! Inside was generally grubby - microwave door needed cleaning, wall hangings full of dust. There was nothing welcoming……… The bed was TINY and we’re 10st and 8st respectively. The worst was a smoke alarm fitted over the bed which had a light flashing in our faces every 30secs. Didn’t get a wink of sleep, left next morning.

Only one thing to suggest, the kettle on the hob took ages to boil, so an electric kettle would make all the difference. If we come again we will bring an electric kettle
