The ground floor is open plan, with a lounge area separated from the kitchen/diner by a wooden staircase. Cook up some treats in the kitchen, enjoy your meal at the island with stools for six, and snuggle up for the evening on the huge sofa in front of the wood burner and Smart TV. When it’s time for bed, you’ll find the double bedroom on the ground floor, plus a king-size and a twin upstairs - both with pretty sloping ceilings and skylights. They share a fabulous bathroom with a large, walk-in shower and a hand-made vanity unit. In terms of outside space, there’s a decked courtyard with outdoor furniture - just the spot for drinks and meals al fresco - as well as a lawned, enclosed garden where children and pets will be delighted to let off steam.

On the beautiful Llyn Peninsula you can take your choice of beaches, from popular resorts with long stretches of sand and water sports on offer, to hidden coves with barely anyone else around. Porth Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth), the famous surfing beach, is just 1.5 miles from the property, and Porth Ceiriad is 2 miles - the latter is remote and pretty, and requires a walk across fields and down steep steps. In Abersoch, 3 miles, there are more beaches as well as a myriad of shops and eateries, plus a great golf course and a riding centre.
