The Dutch barns (UK12872 and UK12873) are superb, semi-detached barn conversions each offering modern open plan living with a luxurious touch and lovely private hot tubs in enclosed courtyards (towels not provided). They each have a kingsize bedroom and a twin room, making them ideal for small families or couples. Kris Kin (ref OXU) is a charming detached barn conversion with oak beams, wooden floor, well-equipped kitchen and an en-suite bathroom. This property also has its own hot tub.
The surroundings are alive with snowdrops in winter and bluebells in spring. The complex is a short drive away from the beach and castle at Criccieth, and a lovely selection of restaurants, cafes, shops and pubs. Situated on the beautiful Lleyn Peninsula, the area is perfect for walking and cycling with an abundance of lovely footpaths and peaceful country lanes. Just under 5 miles away is the lovely town of Porthmadog, with its pretty harbour and the start of fabulous narrow gauge steam train rides on the world famous Ffestiniog railway, which takes you deep into the heart of the magnificent Snowdonia National Park. The Italianate village of Portmeirion, zip wires and a great selection of golf courses are all close by. Beach 3 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2¼ miles.

The cottage is in a lovely location and we did enjoy our stay. On initial inspection everything seemed really clean. However, one of our party was not very well with asthma during her stay. We noticed that a table lamp near to where she sat was very, very dusty! We also pulled the settee and a sideboard out from the wall and were quite shocked to note the balls of dust and dog hair behind there. We contacted the owners and they sent someone to hoover it up. Some of the cookery utensils were dangerous/overused and not clean (we reported these to the owners), we feel these need to be replaced. It would have been useful to have some proper oven gloves as there is only one very small silicone glove. The knives could do with be sharpened! The carpet is coming away from the staircase. The barbeque still had old coals and the grills had obviously not been cleaned. The sun chairs and outside seating could do with cleaning and upgrading as they were very rusty and looked dirty and need some T.L.C. Some of the dining chairs, when we lifted them up, were coming apart.The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was lovely.

We loved our stay here, it was perfect for 2 adults and our dog. The views from the hottub are amazing and not to far from the town and beach. We will definitely be back
