We stayed during the heatwave in May half term. To be able to enjoy all our meals outside with that beautiful sea view was a real treat. The location couldn't be better and we were very grateful for the outside furniture. We regularly went to the chip shop over the road and the ice cream shop close by. There's also a great little cove directly below the house. The house was, in the main, good enough for our needs. The bathroom is great, but feels like the rest of the house needs some attention. The wi-fi, and therefore things like iPlayer, was unreliable. The parking was a bit of a roulette. Most of the week we managed to get a spot near the house, but on the Bank Holiday we were parked a couple of streets away. My biggest gripe was with the lack of curtains. This meant my daughters woke up earlier than usual, and I struggled to sleep, as the blinds let in so much daylight. While it was nice to relax outside, it didn't make for a restful holiday overall. It's not somewhere I'd go back to, but that's not to say we didn't have an enjoyable holiday, and the communication with the owners was good.

Wendon is my favourite place to stay. A perfect cottage, in an ideal location, providing magnificent sea views from the large patio and also from the kitchen and back bedroom. The accommodation is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The owners Nick and Kate are a lovely couple, who are always willing to make your stay stress free and are available if you have any queries. They also own Castle Fish and Chips, opposite the cottage. In my opinion the best Fish and Chips I've ever had. Can't wait to stay here again.
