What our customers say about their holidays

    • Cami - Verified booking

This was our second stay at Red Kite and it was just as lovely.

The setting is perfect (especially if you have a dog) and the cottage is cosy and very comfortable. The cottage is well equipped and very clean. We would have been content to stay another week. We will be coming back again next year, for certain. The only points of feedback we have: * Bring back the hot water bottles, they were a really nice touch last time! * The fridge needs some maintenance - it had a habit of freezing our food, and the freezer compartment was very icy and with a broken door. * Some general instructions about the property, e.g. the heating, rubbish, etc would have been useful. Otherwise, perfect stay!

We received a very warm welcome from Linda and Nigel on arrival who showed us around their recent modern barn conversion.

Gelli barn was very comfortable and well equipped with lovely views, wildlife and extremely peaceful location with added bonus of decking to enjoy the views and sunshine. This break was just what we needed, we had a great time and would thoroughly recommend this property for a holiday in wales . We much appreciated the thoughtful welcome pack and the use of washing machine was a bonus as we moved on from Gelli barn to another cottage in Gloucester for our second week. Thanks Linda and Nigel for your kind hospitality, we hope to return in the future. Anne and Mike

The cottage is situated in a beautiful area with walks close by and the stunning view of the ruined abbey when you step outside the door.

Inside it is warm and well decorated and the open fire was fantastic. The Christmas tree was a nice bonus and loved it. The beds were very comfortable. Lots of pillows and well appointed. The blackout blinds meant it stayed dark so had a good nights sleep everytime. Was easy to find as well signed on the approach road. Pet friendly and was able to take my dog along and because of where it is lots of great places to take him for a walk just outside the front door. I plan to return next year.

      Second stay at Buzzards Watch.

Some great little upgrades with new TV and book case unit. New pans and kitchen equipment. It’s a great place to stay. Reliable internet and the TV allows you to access range of apps for streaming. The open fire is fantastic and the wood provided is a lovely gesture as is the Bara Brith. The beds are super comfy and well appointed and the central heating keeps the place warm though it’s always nice having the fire going in the evening. Will certainly be back.

Lovely property, had everything we needed, quiet, comfy, spacious, a sense of calm.

Fabulous location close to so many attractions and shops. Brilliant hosts, felt safe and welcome. We spent a lot of afternoons and evenings enjoying the views from the deck across fields and hills, watching birds of prey, garden birds, squirrels, bats and along the long wooded drive spotted several deer. Great WiFi connection, kids enjoyed PS3, good mix of board games for them and of course a big garden to play in. Looking forward to returning.
