Located in a quiet area of the village of Lochearnhead, set in the heart of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, this detached holiday bungalow enjoys views across the waters of Loch Earn. This is the perfect base to enjoy the wide range of activities: mountain biking, water sports, kayaking, sailing, fishing and water skiing, golfing and also hillwalking and climbing with over 30 Munros within a 30-minute drive. Visit Oban and Fort William, Perthshire, Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Pub and restaurant ½ mile. The water sports center is located at the bottom of the road less than a four minute walk and next to the pub.

Lochside View quite simply exceeded our every expectation. It started with the views... which was one of the main reason we had booked the bungalow. When we arrived we realized the photos just do not do the views justice, then as the week went on the views just got better, watching the sun come up over the far end of the loch was simply beautiful.. then we had the full moon reflecting on the water, followed the next morning by such a calm loch that the reflections of the hills and trees made it look like a painting... The final treat was a rainbow ending in the middle of the loch.... The house is thoughtfully furnished to really make it a comfortable home rather than just a stark rental property... lochside view actually has personality as well as good quality comfortable furniture, we loved all the little decorative touches. The kitchen is so well equipped that there was not a single thing that wasn't there that I needed when prepping meals... There was even kitchen scales. There is more than enough crockery etc. Comfy beds, lovely bathrooms and lots of complimentary toiletries in case you forget anything... Andy & Suzanne even invite you to feel free to use the walking boots and spare coats in the garage... The garage, btw is brilliant for drying wetsuits if like us you enjoy wild swimming. Lochearnhead is actually quite centrally located, so we made the most of our historic scotland membership to visit edinburgh castle, Doune castle, Linlithgow Palace, stirling Castle and a few more. It's worth joining historic scotland if you are visiting a few sites as it saves you quite a bit, plus you have it for the whole year. Callander is just up the road and worth a visit.. look out for the highlands Coos you can feed as you drive out through Kilamahog.. Loch lubnaig is just up the road too, which is excellent for swimming and my favourite loch ever. We enjoyed visits to the falls of falloch and dochart too. We spent a good few hours at the crannog center on loch Tay, it's a medieval village and great for kids. We even went to edinburgh zoo on good Friday, it took about 1 hr 30 mins to get there. We loved lochside view souch that we booked it for Christmas before we left & for us that is unheard of, but that's how comfortable we felt there.. can't wait to return. Heather & Dave Hertfordshire

It met all of our needs for a Christmas getaway, the owners pulled out all the stops to decorate the property with festive decorations giving it a truly Christmas feel. Everything we required in the property was of a very high standard. Highly recommended.
