    About this property

This spacious end-terrace fisherman's cottage has been completely refurbished internally to provide cosy accommodation with a sumptuous and sleek contemporary edge in the town of Buckie. This desirable cottage would be ideal for a family group or group of friends who want to enjoy the stunning Moray Firth Coast by day and soak up the impressive comfort of this cottage in the evening! There are three pretty bedrooms with one at ground floor level along with the impressive family bathroom. A smart and fresh kitchen which has a dining area is a room where guest may fight over who does the cooking and a sitting room designed to ensure relaxation around a cosy woodburning stove. A welcome extra in this cottage is the snug room with a double sofa bed, providing that little bit of extra flexibility if required, and also a space where guests can watch TV, read or play games. From the snug, French doors give access to the private rear decked garden area, the perfect place for a BBQ in the warmer weather or an early morning coffee. Just a short stroll away are the excellent facilities available in the town and also the pretty coastline which attracts a multitude of wildlife that can be appreciated from the land or from one of the many boat trips available. A short drive to the village of Cullen with its wonderful sandy beach is recommended and following the coastal route will lead to many charming villages all with their own history and ambience. This is a special and unspoilt part of Scotland and this fabulous cottage will certainly impress!

Overlooking the beautiful Moray Firth, the burgh town of Buckie lies on either side of the Burn of Buckie, on the north east coast of Scotland. It has an array of shops and pubs and is a great coastal base from which to explore this wonderful part of Scotland. Regular boat trips leave from the harbours of Buckie and further along the coast to Macduff, which offer the chance to see bottlenose dolphins and an array of sea birds. To the west of the town, Spey Bay is the base for the Scottish Dolphin Centre and is also a fantastic place from which to spot dolphins and seals!

" Ideally situated close to town and beaches. Everything was provided and then some. You couldn't ask for more. The small back garden was enclosed and ideal for our two small dogs. Very spacious and well presented. An amazing little gem. Was an ideal base to go exploring the local area. "

" Property is very warm and you are spoilt for tv sets, kitchen is well kitted out I imagine most things you would require would be available. Overall I feel the property was good value for charge the owners left a basket of starter items that after a long journey was most welcome Really enjoyed the stay. "
    Mr Ashall ‐ 1 Jun 2019
" A well thought out welcome basket on arrival. We had no problems with parking. The street is narrow, but ample parking on the opposite side of the road. The Hamely Hoose makes a great base for exploring the area. "

" ..one loo roll for a family of 4 for a week not acceptable. Great having an X Box but no batteries supplied so we had to supply even though it says in the book they are in the cupboard. Very cold, we read up before we arrived about the log burner and as we have our own one we brought our own logs....not everyone in a position to do this!!! Heating on a timeclock which doesn’t work as out of sync!! Mattresses needing replaced in all beds, extremely uncomfortable and home with sore backs and necks...on the surface looks great but dig a little deeper and a bit disappointing!! Also we came in to rubbish in all bins....filled up very quickly on our stay, even though we followed instructions to put bin out on Thursday. "

" When the only negative you can think about a cottage is that you don't like the way the water from the bathroom sink tap splashes straight onto the plug (if you turn the tap fully on) then you are on a bit of a winner. Thanks again for a great stay in a great cottage with everything we need. We will be booking again. "

" And the basket of extras was a lovely gesture. "
    Mrs Burnett ‐ 1 Jan 2019
" Very well equipped with everything that you could need for your holiday. Great enclosed garden and wooden floors throughout the downstairs which is ideal if you are bringing dogs. We travelled out most days and saw some fabulous wildlife at the various beaches nearby, Cullen and Nairn being our favourites, the sands are white and gorgeous and your can walk for miles. The one thing that would be useful maybe to point put the cafes and things at the various places out of town...ie Rockpool cafe in Cullen, does lovely food, especially the dog friendly places. These could be put in the welcome pack maybe? We struggled in some places to find nice places to eat, possibly due to the time of year we stayed (January) as a lot of the tourist spots were shut, so some good local knowledge would be useful....otherwise we had an amazing time in your lovely house. Thankyou... "
    Mrs Carol M ‐ 1 Jan 2019
" We loved our stay at the hamely house it is beautifully decorated throughout, there is also anything you would have at home, the log burner makes the house so cosy when you light it we went up on the 29th December for four days and there was a Christmas tree there with some tinsel decorating the tops of the curtain poles. "
    Mr Mckeen ‐ 1 Sep 2018
" It had everything we needed and more, in a town that has all of the amenities we needed. My mother-in-law was visiting us from the USA and was very charmed by her first visit to northern Scotland. My wife and I are already planning our next stay (while daydreaming about retiring to the area). Highly recommended for anyone from couples to families. "
    Christopher B, August 2018 ‐ 1 Aug 2018
" Lovely house with handy extras. Our children loved the game room. We would definitely stay again. Thank you for a great week. "
    Mr Ashwood, July 2018 ‐ 1 Jul 2018
" Close to the coast line and sea and good for walks along the front "
    Mr Marsden, July 2018 ‐ 1 Jul 2018
" Loved the log burning fire, can't wait to go back. "
    Mrs Grahamslaw, May 2018 ‐ 1 May 2018
" The enclosed garden was great for our dog keeping him secure, and thes cottage is well placed for all of the amenities of Buckie. "
    Ms Turner, April 2018 ‐ 1 Apr 2018
" Facilities are great and the kitchen is equipped to a very high level. Loved the cottage and will be back again. "
    Mrs Gardiner, January 2018 ‐ 1 Jan 2018
" Great location being only a few minutes walk from town and a walk option to the nearest sandy beach. All round simply excellent. "
    Mrs Smith
" E. Extremely cold, the main living area was less well heated due to being open to the kitchen which was cold. This, even with the stove working. Having rented other similar properties in Buckie in similarly cold weather conditions, they were more snug. I might visit this property in the summer but would avoid in cold weather. The little snug room does not have comfortable furniture. However the rest of the cottage is pleasant and well presented. The high step from the kitchen to the living room should be made known for people who might be affected by this. The cottage is beautifully clean and well equipped. There is a need for a blind or similar to the bathroom. We enjoyed a restful stay. "
    Mrs Carson, October 2017
" The decor and facilities in the cottage make for a very comfortable stay. We loved it. "
    Daphne W
" Quiet street, deceptively large cottage easily accommodating 6 adults. All very new, sparklingly clean and brilliantly equipped. Having one bedroom on the ground floor was a major bonus for us with one member rather immobile. Thank you. "
    - Mrs Cuthill, October 2019
"It had everything we needed. Was very comfy and cosy. Would higly recommend it."
