For those who prefer to stay on dry land, golf enthusiasts are well catered for, with courses at Craigieknowes (1.5 miles), Colvend (4.5 miles) and Dalbeattie (5.5 miles) nearby. Dalbeattie is also a fantastic base for exploring the surrounding forest, offering scenic walking trails and the renowned 7Stanes mountain biking routes.
