The location overlooking the river is stunning, allowing visitors to watch birds like dipper and wagtail from the window. The rooms are spacious, warm even in the depth of winter and the kitchen well equipped for self catering. Ideal base for trips to the beautiful Solway Coast. We would certainly recommend it.

A really great cottage, the sound of the river (Burn) next to it was superb, it was lively! Peaceful, secluded and calming. Dalbeatie town nearby, only one pub we could find and it was not good for us. We like cask ales. Castle Douglas has a brewery and tap. But plenty of interesting places to visit some great driving roads too. The bed in the cottage is a bed we have to get at home! Excellent. Cheers.
