The cottage is in a beautiful peaceful location. It was very clean, tastefully decorated, well equipped and very comfortable. We loved sitting looking out at the view over the marina and there were good walks into Crinan and along the canal. There are lots of lovely places to visit and plenty of wildlife to see, including beavers just a couple of miles away. We visited Kilmartin museum and saw the rock art, saw stone circles, drove down to the Mull of Kintyre and Southend, stopping at Westport beach on the way, which is a stunning surfing beach with golden sand. We also got the ferry as foot passengers to the Isle of Gigha, which we really enjoyed, and we went to Crarae gardens. We had a lovely meal at the Tayvallich Inn and the nearby cafe is also a treat. We also had a wonderful meal at the seafood bar at the Crinan Hotel and there is a great cafe in that village too. We would have gone on the ferry to Islay but could not book it, so that will have to be next time. There will definitely be a next time.
