One of the most interesting properties in the historic town of Whitby, Tipple Cottage dates back 200 years and has sloping windows caused by slippage a century ago. Full of creature comforts and original features, the property has a steep, winding staircase and uninterrupted seascapes from most rooms. Families will love the sunny outdoor space and easy access to fantastic attractions such as the Whitby Abbey Steps. If you fancy some smoked kippers or bacon for breakfast, the famous Fortune's Smokehouse can be found just a few doors down!

The cottage also has the benefit of allocated parking and modern facilities including free Wi-Fi service.

Inside

The cottage is entered into via a handy porch with tiled floor - great for kicking of your shoes after a day at the beach! The beautiful lounge has exposed beams, a wood burner stove, flat screen TV and two large sofas. There is also a small family dining area and the kitchen is well appointed with an electric oven, hob, dishwasher and washer/ dryer.

Bedrooms / Bathrooms

Ideal for families or two couples, the accommodation includes a double bedroom with ensuite along with a twin bedroom in the attic. There is also a modern family bathroom.

Outside

Enjoy the wonderful views from the southeast-facing patio garden with seating area. There is also private parking for one car provided.

The cottage is set on Whitby's East Cliff, close to the famous Abbey and the Captain Cook Memorial Museum. Plenty of local amenities can be found closeby along with beaches, country walks and Whitby Golf Club.

Availability

Short breaks of three nights or more may be available. Please note that this property does not accept pets. The peak time changeover day is Saturday and flexible at other times of the year.

Check in time is after 4pm and please vacate by 10am on your departure day.
