Multiple reviews highlight the property as spotless, immaculate, and very clean throughout, with only rare minor comments about damp smells or maintenance at the entrance.

The location is frequently described as excellent, with easy access to Whitby, local shops, public transport, and walking routes. The proximity to amenities and the peaceful village setting are highly valued.

Guests consistently mention the apartment as warm, cosy, spacious, and comfortable, with quality beds and furnishings. The basement setting keeps it cool in summer, though some note limited natural light.

The apartment is well equipped with modern kitchens, bathrooms, and appliances. Occasional issues such as a loose toilet seat, early checkout, and outside maintenance are mentioned, but overall facilities are praised.

Several guests appreciated thoughtful touches such as biscuits and milk on arrival, though these are not guaranteed. Communication with the owner and housekeeping is also positively noted.

First impression getting out of the car wasn’t great. Not sure who owns the piece of wasteland but it needs tidying up. Damp near the door & inside on the skirting board needs attention. Shower doors need looking at. 9 am check out seems very early. Overalll the Hideaway provides value for money.

A nice place to stay with plenty to see in the nearby location. Very clean and comfortable. The only downside would be that the 0900 checkout time is a bit early. Price was very reasonable especially in August. Would definitely recommend for a small family.

A great apartment. Great local amenities nearby. Not very far from Whitby or Scarborough. Great for visiting Sandsend and Saltburn. I would definitely recommend.
