Moving through the property, locate the kitchen/ diner, housing white-glossed units with an oven and hob to rustle up tasty meals. You don't need to worry about making a mess as there is a dishwasher to help with the cleaning up! The property is between Whitby and Sandsend and depending on tide, you can walk along the shore to either. Lying on Yorkshire's spectacular Heritage Coastline, Sandsend is the ideal place for a family holiday with its award winning, wide sweeping beaches, rock pools and dramatic cliffs. Indeed this part of the coastline is known locally as the Dinosaur Coast because of the many fossils found here. In the season, beachside stalls offer everything from light snacks and drinks to boats, buckets and spades! There's plenty for everyone here, from the surrounding North York Moors to its Blue Flag beaches, at any time of year. Whitby, among its many attractions, has a beautiful ambience, with meandering streets and hidden alleyways where you may find a diverse selection of cafés and boutiques. Take a trip to the scenic port and lighthouse to watch the sun set, or go whale watching or on a coastal cruise to get up up and personal with the creatures. Climb the 199 stairs to Whitby Abbey for a taste of history, or pay a visit to the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, which features historical and anthropological exhibits on Cook himself.
