About this Holiday Cottage

Peacefully situated between Whitby and Staithes, close to Runwick Bay, The Anchorage offers a beautifully presented retreat ideal for relaxing family breaks or guests exploring the wonderful Cleveland Way. Built 200 years ago, the cottage is set in a delightfully remote location and retains a wealth of charming, rustic features which are complimented by excellent self catering facilities.

Short breaks are welcome at certain times of the year and the cottage also accepts two dogs by prior arrangement. Contact us for further details and to book your stay.  

Inside

The spacious sitting room has plenty of characterful features including exposed roof beams, a large picture window overlooking the surrounding countryside and a warming wood burner stove. There are also two comfortable sofas, Freeview TV and three steps lead up to the modern kitchen which is well equipped with a great range of self catering amenities such as a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer. The family dining area is set in one corner with large bench seat and three further chairs.

Master double bedroom with beautiful views.

Two further twin bedrooms including an attic room with lovely sloping ceilings, roof windows and a 'snug' with beanbags and a TV.

Luxury family bathroom with overhead shower, WC and hand basin.

Outside

The cottage sits in lovely grounds with outdoor seating areas including a patio with large picnic table. Please note that the outdoor space is not fully enclosed so children and pets should be supervised.

Three allocated parking spaces are provided at the property. 

Other Things to Note

High chairs are provided free of charge and cots can be supplied at £15 each. Guests can also book an extra z bed at a £40 charge. 

Availability

Short breaks of three nights or more may be available during off peak times. 

The preferred changeover day from July 19th to August 30th is Friday.

Check in time is 4pm and please vacate by 10am on your departure day.

Up to two dogs are welcome per stay at an extra charge of £20 each.
