Situated on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, the attractive market town of Kirkbymoorside is located between the towns of Helmsley and Pickering. Full of traditional Yorkshire character, this little town is the centre for the local farms and villages. There are numerous tea-rooms, pubs, restaurants and antique shops within the village, through for some truly local flavour visitors can enjoy the market which takes place every Wednesday. The surrounding scenery is spectacular and offers excellent walking and cycling opportunities, including those within the National Park. Close by are the picturesque villages of Hutton le Hole and Lastingham, the North York Moors Steam Railway, the City of York and the Yorkshire Coast – all within easy driving distance.

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.
