Sleights is a great destination for both coastal and rural getaways, situated on the edge of the stunning North Yorkshire moors countryside, which is popular with hikers and cyclists, and is only 4 miles from the lovely Yorkshire coastline. Sleights has a bar, a fish and chip shop, an antique shop, a butcher's, a bakery, a hair salon, and a post office within a Spar. The end of the North Yorkshire Steam Railway is only a short drive away, and Sleights is served by frequent public transportation to and from the adjacent port of Whitby. Whitby, which is located at the mouth of the River Esk, is in a prime location for visiting this stunning region of Yorkshire, boasting a sandy beach and museum, and there are many more lovey places to visit, including Staithes, the well-known Robin Hood's Bay and Scarborough. Parking is evidently on a first come first served basis in a small public carpark. Incredibly limited -there are even cones used to reserve a spot presumably for owner! No welcome pack (instructions) on how things worked and fridge was switched off at the wall, this had to pulled from underneath worktop to turn it on, so generally not a welcome feeling on arrival. No contact details for onsite support when needed. Personally wouldnât recommend this property and my only experience of a Sykes property which hasnât met what is advertised and normal high standards I have previously experienced on multiple occasions.

Tv was a bit hit and miss, we didnât like the leather suite, not comfortable, we were made very welcome, given assistance on arrival with unloading.We would go back again,plenty to do in the area.

Second , No privacy to sit outdoors just a Pub yard . Third , inside Cottage 2 no 0utlook through blinds just Pub yard and Pub rear many windows. The lounge was dark with old furniture. Very poor sound on TV ,this was set too low for some reason. All upstairs rooms were very comfortable inc. shower We would not visit this Pub outhouse again .
