It is in a complex of 24 apartments called Union Mill that are named after the co-operative mill that was built there in the early 1800’s. It boasts of views of Whitby Abbey from most rooms and you can also enjoy the view over the rooftops in Whitby. It is a spacious, bright apartment with original artwork, tasteful décor and furnished to a very high standard. The property has eco- friendly, underfloor heating throughout that is provided by an air source heat pump and gives the apartment a cosy, welcoming feel to it. There is a secure entry system with either stairs to the apartment or a lift which is especially convenient for guests with limited mobility. The owner will provide you with parking permit to use in the Leisure Centre car park situated just 200 yards from the property where you can also enjoy swimming, badminton or attending the many exercise classes available there. Millers Haven provides an excellent base for couples and families looking for a holiday by the sea-side or indeed to explore the pretty villages dotted along the North York Moors National Park areas. A 5-minute walk will bring you to either 3 miles of golden beach or to the heart of the town with an abundance of activities and amenities to suit all the family.

this is our third time at the union mill and second time in this flat, it is scrupulously clean and well appointed and just a few minutes walk into Whitby centre. Car park (with free permit) is just a minutes walk away, I can highly recommend this place.

We loved our stay here and will certainly be back. The only thing we could complain about was the toilet seat(a square one)was obviously a replacement and was a size too small. There was a big gap therefore between the bowl and the seat and was most uncomfortable and also very loose. For someone like us who have both had hip replacements, we had to be very careful. This needs to be rectified as soon as possible!! Also the bathroom floor was VERY dirty and needs a proper deep clean. We hope that when we return these concerns will have been rectified.
