About this property

Outstanding lodge located 5 miles from Whitby on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors.

This sumptuous three bedroom property is situated in a 5 star caravan park, near the village of Egton, amidst mature woodland and within easy reach of stunning beaches and heather-clad moorland. Welcome to the great outdoors!

Families and friends will love the bespoke, open-plan living area and the gorgeous double height windows which let in so much natural light, framing vistas of the beautiful woodland beyond.

The space here is luxurious and modern. There’s a fully fitted kitchen area with Neff appliances and gleaming granite worktops, plus a breakfast bar for two. A table and chairs for four in the dining area is lovely for sociable dining. Kick back and relax in the comfortable sitting room area – the real flame, wood burning-style gas stove is very comforting and with underfloor heating throughout the lodge, you are sure to feel cosy and warm at any time of year.

Also on the ground floor, you’ll find two bedrooms: a master double with stylish en-suite shower room and a twin bedroom, plus a luxury bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC.

The third bedroom is furnished with a comfortable sofa bed and games area – ideal for children or teenagers. Nestled in the attic, access is via a pull down loft ladder in the hall.

In the warmer months, throw open the patio doors and head onto the decked veranda for pre-dinner drinks and nibbles – a wonderful opportunity to chill out in nature.

Visitors to the area should head for the heritage coast. Nearby Whitby offers a lovely combination of intriguing maritime history, gastronomy and old world charm. Its famous Abbey, said to have inspired Bram Stoker’s Dracula, sits above the harbour and Old Town, offering fine views. Regular pleasure trips depart from the historic harbour – a fabulous opportunity to go whale watching.

Walkers are spoilt for choice on the North York Moors and routes of all distances and levels of difficulty are helpfully listed on NYM website.

Simon Howe is extremely well situated for exploring inland and the East coast. After a busy day, retreat to this spacious, stylish lodge where rest and rejuvenation go hand in hand.

The ancient fishing port of Whitby lies at the mouth of the River Esk and is ideally situated for exploring this beautiful part of Yorkshire, with its superb coastline and close proximity to the spectacular North York Moors. Whitby is a charming and atmospheric town of winding streets and hidden alleys, with a picturesque harbour, safe sandy beaches and of course the Abbey, reached by the famous 199 steps.
