About this property

La Rochelle is a detached bungalow located on the outskirts of Whitby town centre, Yorkshire. The property opens up to an entrance hall, which leads into the contemporary living room with an electric fire. There is a modern kitchen, with high-quality fittings and appliances ideal for home cooking and a dining area with seating for six. It has laminate flooring throughout the property and is perfect for both friends and families. There are two double bedrooms, and a twin bedroom, all with their own TV. There is a separate bathroom with a shower and WC. There is an enclosed garden with a patio area, and furniture has been provided. Off-road parking is available. It also has a garage, which can be used for storing bikes and surfboards. The property is a twenty minute walk from the Whitby Beach and the town centre, with many shops and restaurants. You could visit the ruins of gothic Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s ‘Dracula’, or venture towards the 199 steps, which boast magnificent views across the harbour and town once at the top. Further afield, are the heather-clad moors and limestone scars, an excellent sightseeing opportunity. La Rochelle is a well-presented bungalow in a convenient Yorkshire location.

Whitby is a charming and atmospheric town of winding streets and hidden alleys, with a picturesque harbour, safe sandy beaches just a twenty minute walk away. Not to forget the Abbey, reached by the famous 199 steps.

Nice to see everything as good as first visit. Will definately consider another stay. Always using Sykes and have already recommended to others.

Only negatives were new windows needed and woodlice in kitchen.

The property is based within a quiet cul-de-sac and benefits from a private driveway, along with a garage for storage of bikes etc, which then opens up to a large patio with seating and an ample garden for the kids. We’ve stayed in properties previously and not had the luxury of a garden which was very welcomed with the warm weather after a busy day out. The only downfall of the property is the windows, they are in desperate need of replacing the windows/frames. Blackout blinds/curtains may also be something to consider, especially with having small children and the early mornings within the summer. However we enjoyed our stay thoroughly and would not hesitate to return next year. Thanks
