Mulberry Manor is praised for its spaciousness, comfortable beds, and peaceful location, with some guests enjoying the added festive touches and sea views. The property's quiet setting is ideal for those seeking a tranquil getaway, and its proximity to the Yorkshire coast and local amenities is appreciated. While some guests encountered issues with cleanliness and maintenance, the responsive owners and the property's overall charm have left many with a positive impression.
Guests have reported issues with cleanliness, including unwashed crockery and glassware, floors not being mopped, and the presence of cobwebs and mice droppings. However, some reviews mention the property being very clean, indicating inconsistency in cleaning standards.
The location is frequently described as peaceful and quiet, with lovely views and easy access to the South East Yorkshire coast. Its proximity to beaches and the countryside has been positively noted, making it a favourable spot for a tranquil retreat.
The comfort of the property is generally well-regarded, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the rooms spacious. However, some guests experienced issues with heating and draughts, which affected their comfort during their stay.
Facilities have received mixed reviews. Guests appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and in-house amenities, but there were several complaints about heating issues, non-working appliances, and a lack of instructions for the kitchen equipment. Maintenance concerns, such as non-working extractor fans and showers, were also raised.
While some guests were delighted by welcome gifts and festive decorations, others felt that a welcome basket or basic provisions would have been a thoughtful addition. As not all reviews reference gifts or additional thoughtful touches, it is not possible to provide a definitive score in this category.
Mulberry Manor is the largest of the barn conversions, adjoining Meadow View. It has a spacious open plan living area, a well equipped kitchen and the convenience of a ground floor bedroom with an en-suite shower. A glass balustrade leads up to the other two double bedrooms and the family bathroom, with a separate shower and a bath.
The popular seaside town of Withernsea, lies in the East Riding of Yorkshire. This cosy, coastal haven has a relaxed atmosphere, the perfect location for a family break. The flat, rural landscape surrounding the town offers some magnificent sweeping views and a wild, windswept atmosphere to blow the cobwebs away! The surrounding villages offer some historical landmarks, including a lighthouse now housing a museum, a Napoleonic fortress and a huge nuclear bunker which runs award-winning tours. Withernsea's sand and pebble beach boasts a grand tower-like entrance, plenty of delicious fish and chip cafés nearby and, further along the coast, the spindly and atmospheric Spurn Peninsula that stretches three miles out to sea. Withernsea offers a traditional promenade, ornamental gardens, children’s playgrounds and fun attractions including amusements, plus there's also the convenience of two supermarkets in the town.

Luckily we were able to bring extra with us......3 mismatched wine glasses just weren't enough! I'm sure the owner, Tim would have sorted this for us but I didnt want to bother him. Mulberry Manor is excellently located for us and we had a fabulous time.

I'm so glad I did book it though. The photos could do with updating as the furniture has now changed. The property is very large and spacious, plenty of room to not be over crowded. Well equipped kitchen with everything we needed. It's in a lovely quiet area if that's what you're looking for if not then it's not for you. We had a small issue with the Internet but was promptly resolved when I contacted the owners. All in all a very good reasonable stay and would definately return if in that area
