About this property

In the heart of Whitby, discover Hop House, a wonderfully presented mid-terrace cottage with amenities close by and a heart-warming interior that graces both the ground and upper floor. Perfect for families or travellers, this retreat makes a comfortable stay all-year-round, a lovely place to build some memories and relax away from it all. As you enter, feel welcomed by a delightful hallway, and an open-plan living area; one side houses a dining table while a cosy lounge lies adjacent. Lovely blue sofas rest before a fire, with a wall-mounted Smart TV adding to the homely formation. Beyond this, enjoy the well-equipped kitchen, a modern set-up featuring lovely counter-tops, with access to the small courtyard outside. The first floor is home to a king-size double bedroom, and a single room also accompanied by a pull-out trundle bed, with doors opening up to a decked terrace area, where you can relax on the furniture available. Another set of stairs reveals a twin room, complimented by oak furniture, low ceilings and Velux windows, for a glimpse of charm and character. The family bathroom finishes the property in a lovely fashion, providing both a bath and a shower, so you can get ready in style morning and night. Famous for its Jet industry, fishing industry and of course, its links to Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Whitby is a fascinating town steeped in history. The East Side of Whitby is the founding point for the settlement, which dates back to 657AD. Lighthouse Bay leads onto Yorkshire’s famous Cleveland National Trail. With Blue Flag beaches and many attractions, including the world-famous steam North Yorkshire Moors Railway, Whitby is the perfect base for a family holiday.

Whitby in North Yorkshire remains one of the regions most popular tourist hotspots, and with good reason. The town is at the mouth of the River Esk, and this old fishing port retains character in its winding streets and hidden alleys. There is a picturesque harbour, sandy beach and the famous Whitby Abbey. Close to other seaside destinations such as Scarborough, Staithes and Robin Hood's Bay.
