Just 5 miles away, guests will find the historic seaside town of Whitby where visitors can climb the famous 199 steps to the ruins of Whitby Abbey to enjoy sweeping views across the town and soak up the atmosphere of the place rumoured to have been the inspiration for Bram Stoker s Dracula This quaint grade 2 listed cottage, full of character and original features offers an open plan living area with oak flooring, stripped pine cupboards, and a beautiful beamed ceiling. With a cast iron multi fuel stove set in a stone and brick fireplace, this cottage is warm and inviting, a great place to relax after a day out sightseeing. The kitchen area boasts granite worktops and a Belfast sink and everything you would need to cook up a lovely meal with local produce purchased nearby, once cooked, enjoy the meal around the dining table together. Steep, winding stairs lead up to the first floor with a charming country style double bedroom and the family shower room. The second floor is home to a twin bedroom under the eaves. Outside there is a bench where you can sit and take in the sea air. Only a short walk down the cobbled pathways takes you to a choice of pubs and restaurants overlooking the bay Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 double and 1 twin. 1 bathroom with shower and WC. Ceramic hob with electric oven and grill, fridge with ice compartment and microwave. Welcome pack on arrival. Wood burner (first supply of logs included). Smart TV. Outside bench at front of property. Mobile signal is weak. No parking is provided, but there are public car parks at the top of the village 0.2 miles. Beach, shop, and restaurant within 0.2 miles. Steep, narrow and winding cottage style stairs.
