Stairs lead from the living room up to a choice of two bedrooms, each well-furnished with bedside tables and ample storage units; a double and a twin, followed by the family bathroom. You can indulge with a warm soak in the bath tub after a hike on the moors or along the Heritage Coast, relieving your muscles of any aches or pains before getting ready for an evening out. Find an assortment of pubs and eateries in the town mere paces away, as well as many shops and its iconic steam North Yorkshire Moors Railway. With its Blue Flag beaches, fishing opportunities, literary connections to Bram Stoker's 'Dracula' and a long history around Captain Cook and his famous ship Endeavour, you won't be short of things to see and do. .. great location and facilities. Couple of little moans The cottage was freezing when we arrived and the fire in the lounge isn't great. On the last day when we removed the covers from the bedding the pillows and duvet and found underneath was rather stained.The sofa has seen better days too.

owner had 2 lovely cats which we saw on arrival. All in all a wonderrful short stay for two78 year olds. We would love to come again.

The beautiful cottage is cosy, very comfortable, well decorated & furnished and has everything that you would need for a very pleasant stay with, the added bonus of, a parking space. The location is ideal and is only a short walk down to the shops, pubs and restaurants. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.
