Peaceful location so slept well yet only 5 minutes down the hill into Whitby town/harbour. Skinner street nearby has deli and bakers for morning parties. Altogether a lovely peaceful, comfortable stay

We loved the comfortable beds, log burner, location and general decor. It had all the cooking and laundry equipment you need, and we really appreciated the thoughtful additions like books and record player. We'd be happy to stay again! Some points to note: We only found one window that would open, which was a shame as we really wanted some fresh air in the bathroom and main bedroom. People with mobility issues may find the bathrooms in this property challenging. The main bathroom has a tall-sided bath, which you must climb in and out of and use a hand-held shower head. The top floor en-suite has a very small shower cubicle, but that's up two flights of stairs. Parking can be a challenge (that's all of Whitby - not specific to this property!). You may have to pause on double-yellows to quickly unload your car, then park quite far away.

The owner has left a lovely handbook which covers everything. It was nice to read about the history of the house. The enclosed outside space was perfect for our dog. The kitchen is very well equipped & there is even a coffee machine with coffee pods. Collecting the keys from Yorkshire Coastal Cottages just around the corner couldn’t have been easier. We would definitely return, thank you!
