Stank House Farm is located at the end of a long private track on the outskirts of the village of Bolton Abbey. This traditional stone farmhouse, complete with its flagstone floors and stunning fireplaces, boasts some of the best views across the valley.

Built in 1744, Stank House Farm has been exquisitely renovated throughout an offers guests traditional ambience alongside plenty of modern amenities. The large entrance hall with its traditional flag stone floor leads through to the impressive dining room with a large farmhouse dining table, exposed wooden beams and a grand fireplace with wood burning stove.

The well-equipped kitchen complete with granite work surfaces is located just off the dining room and has all you need to create a light breakfast trough to a full 3-course banquet.

Leading off from the main entrance hall is the elegant, spacious sitting room with uninterrupted views across the valley. Featuring an impressive fireplace with a log burning stove and plenty of comfortable seating, it is an ideal place for the whole family to gather in the evening. French doors lead you out onto the terrace and gardens that wrap around the house.

Also on the ground floor is a large double bedroom with panoramic views towards Bolton Abbey and beyond and an en-suite bathroom complete with a gorgeous shower over a roll top bath.

Upstairs there are a further two tastefully furnished bedrooms, both with stunning four poster beds and en-suite bathrooms.

The outside spaces around the cottage have been landscaped and built for you to enjoy the breath-taking location and panoramic views. At the rear of the cottage you can enjoy a large landscaped garden and stone-flagged terrace with a seating area in complete seclusion and peace.

The garden terrace also boasts a hot tub to enjoy with unspoilt views of Bolton Abbey and beyond. Adequate parking is available outside the cottage for up to four vehicles and a small outhouse is perfect for drying out clothes or storing wellingtons.

Cottage guests are welcome to use the nearby Devonshire Spa during their stay at a cost of £7.50 per person. 45-minute timed slots are available on the hour starting from 7am until 6pm and must be booked in advance. Spa day experiences are also available which include treatments, extended use of the spa facilities and lunch. Please contact the spa directly to book.

Stank House Farm is located along a long, uneven track and as such, is not suitable for low slung cars.

Please note, the Bolton Abbey Estates team will need to access the hot tub on a daily basis. This is to allow them to carry out essential water testing. They will empty, clean and re-fill the hot tub each Monday and Friday; this will be done between 9am and 4pm each day. No access inside the cottage is required.

The bedding is non-feather.

A hair dryer is provided in all three bedrooms.
