A few minutes drive is Grassington, one of the most charming villages in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, where you will find traditional stone cottages, galleries, restaurants and shops, which are clustered around the cobbled market place, plus a monthly farmers' market provides a mouthwatering range of organic and homemade local produce. Visitors can experience the delight of both the Grassington Festival held in June and the Dickensian Festival during December – both well worth a visit. Situated on the River Wharfe, with the extensive Grass Woods to the north of the village, this is a superb walking area. Down dale is Bolton Abbey, the Priory and the famous “Strid Walk”, whilst a little further away is the elegant town of Ilkley, overlooked by the famous Ilkley Moor, plus up dale are Kettlewell and Buckden boasting spectacularly beautiful limestone scenery. The cottage had everything you needed, and was spotless. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise and very much appreciated. The location is perfect with a country pub and shop nearby. We will definitely return and can't wait to do so.

Just a few minor things that we would have liked to have been provided- no tongs for when cooking bacon etc, no grater for grating cheese so had to use a knife! Oh, and one final thing, no shaver socket in bathroom 12v, for charging shaver or electric toothbrush- unfortunately we had to buy a pack of 3 manual toothbrushes halfway through the week as it had run out. All in all though super cottage would like to return again.

The cottage was really nicely done out and was very comfortable. It was also close to a local pub and a local Spar/Garage which had a wide range of foods stuff if required including a local butcher selling their local produce of fresh meats and ready made meals. The welcome pack went above and beyond - many thanks.
