About this property

An outstanding stone-built, semi-detached cottage, located on a quiet lane alongside the river just two hundred yards from the centre of Malham. Fully renovated, this first-class Malham cottage provides excellent holiday accommodation in the centre of one of the most popular villages in the Yorkshire Dales. The cottage has a spacious layout, with many original features including exposed stonework and beamed ceilings. The Malham cottage accommodation includes a delightful farmhouse kitchen, a warm and cosy sitting room with inviting woodburning stove, a master bedroom with super king-size bed and lovely views across the river to the centre of Malham, a delightful twin bedroom and a spacious bathroom. Set in its own mature gardens, this Malham cottage is ideally located for a romantic break or a small family looking to enjoy quality time in one of the Dales' premier locations. The village has much to offer, with the lovely river and two excellent pubs serving fine traditional beers and good food, both within walking distance of this Malham cottage. For lovers of the great outdoors, the area offers an abundance of walking trails, Malham Tarn, The Cove and Janet's Foss - a spectacular waterfall. A superb Malham cottage base, full of character, charm and those extra touches that all go together for that extra-special and memorable Dales holiday.

The village of Malham is an ideal base for visitors to the Dales who come to see one of Britain's most impressive natural features - Malham Cove. The Cove consists of a natural cavern or 'amphitheatre' of limestone rock stretching 75 metres in height and 300 metres around the perimeter. A steep walk up man-made steps is rewarded with a superb view across moors and limestone pavements to Malham Tarn - the Pennines' highest natural lake. The village itself has pubs and tearooms and a National Park Centre.

The location is great, right in the village but very quiet also. The Cottage has a lot of character and was a warm and cosy home for a few days. Short of nothing in the kitchen and in general. Everything was very clean and the shower was great after a long walk! Will atay again.
