For a special treat one evening, make your way to the local pub where you will find a welcoming atmosphere and a delicious food menu to match, or venture further afield to the Town End Farm Shop, where you will be delighted with the diverse range of local produce on offer. For days out whilst staying here, you and your loved ones can enjoy a leisurely woodland stroll to find the breath-taking Janet's Foss waterfall, or visit the 70-meter-high curving cliff, Malham Cove. The Dales also offers a range of opportunities for walking, cycling, mountain biking and horse riding amidst miles of beautiful scenery. Malham is a small village resting at the head of Malhamdale amidst open limestone countryside. It is a popular destination for those visiting one of Britain's natural features - Malham Cove which is a cavern of limestone rock stretching 75 metres in height and 300 metres around the perimeter. Within the village you will find pubs and tea rooms and a National Park Centre and mountain bike hire can be arranged.

It was clean, the bed was comfortable, the sofas were comfortable and the shower was excellent. There is a really good pub just over the road from the cottage and lots of good walks from the doorstep. The weather was appalling but we managed to get out walking most days and the one day when the rain was too awful to walk we relaxed in the cottage in front of a lovely fire. Highly recommend the nearest pub, good beer and good food. Hope to return to Malham and Rose Cottage soon, thank you for the flowers Barbara, they were a lovely touch and much appreciated.

We were absolutely delighted that it met our expectations- the location is perfect, parking outside the door, well stocked log burner and really comfortable beds.

Our hosts were very friendly and gave us good advice on pubs, walks and farm shops, especially the Courtyard Cheese shop, which was brilliant! The cottage is in a great location for visiting the numerous attractions of the Yorkshire Dales. The outdoor patio and garden was a wonderful spot for meals and a glass of wine.
