Town Head Farm in Skipton offers a charming stay with its prime location for walking and proximity to local pubs. Guests appreciate the spaciousness, comfort, and thoughtful touches like welcome gifts. While some mention issues with maintenance and early check-out times, the property's character and setting in the Yorkshire Dales make it a recommended choice for a countryside getaway.
Reviews indicate a generally clean environment, though some guests noted the need for a more thorough cleaning in certain areas, such as cobwebs and kitchenware. The presence of damp was mentioned, affecting the overall cleanliness score.
The cottage's location is highly praised for its convenience to local walks, pubs, and the village centre, making it an ideal base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales.
Most guests found the cottage comfortable, with ample space and cosy furnishings. However, some mentioned issues with mattresses and heating, slightly impacting the comfort score.
The property is well-equipped, but several reviews cited problems with maintenance such as a broken BBQ, non-stick frying pan, and electrical issues. The lack of Wi-Fi and phone signal was also noted as a drawback for some guests.
Guests were touched by the thoughtful gestures of welcome gifts, including wine and snacks. However, as these gifts are at the discretion of the owner and not guaranteed, the score reflects the positive sentiment without setting an expectation.

The village of Malham is an ideal base for visitors to the Dales who come to see one of Britain's most impressive natural features - Malham Cove. Generally very good and some very nice welcome items - a knob to the lounge door kept falling off - one double bed has a very hard mattress but there were spare beds as only six of us - hard to move around quietly in the night as the house has some very old floors / doors etc - great car parking area and close to the facilities in and around Malham which was our biggest plus - loved our stay xx

Cottage was excellent comfortable warm and well equipt. Close to village center and local walks. Recommend the Buck Inn for good food beer and friendlyness

We really enjoyed our stay and would happily stay there again. An outside light would be helpful at this time of year but we managed fine with torches.
