Resting amidst beautiful heather-clad moorland in Cragg Vale, a village in West Yorkshire, is Shep Cottage, a mid-terrace stone-built cottage with underfloor heating and attractive interior. Decorated with a mix of contemporary and classic style, this cottage makes a wonderful base for your outdoor adventures in West Yorkshire, and is not far from the bustling, bohemian town of Hebden Bridge. Be welcomed into a stylish open-plan living space, where a fitted kitchen rests at the front of the house complete with a good range of appliances including an electric oven with a gas hob and a slimline dishwasher. Step across the wood tiled floor, passing the rustic breakfast bar dining area, and relax on one of the sophisticated mustard yellow sofas, perfectly positioned around the woodburning stove and the Smart TV. The red brick of the fireplace and exposed beams on the ceiling add bags of character to this renovated terrace, and with views of the moorlands beyond out of the windows it makes a lovely space to wind down in. Head upstairs to find the two lovely bedrooms, each continuing the warm mustard colour scheme, consisting of a king-size bedroom and a single bedroom, all served by the neat shower room. Enjoy dining alfresco or sipping a morning coffee on the patio, with shared lockable storage with the neighbouring properties for bikes here too. A mecca for cyclists, the nearby village of Cragg Vale has some challenging rides but which are rewarded by captivating views at the top and the village of Luddenden is on the other side of the valley and is the location of Jerusalem Farm, a popular local nature reserve. The area is known as being a popular locatin for TV programmes such as Happy Valley, In Loving Memory and Last Tango in Halifax. The bustliing, bohemian town of Hebden Bridge is a short distance away with its vibrant selection of restaurants, bars, bistros, markets, an independent cinema, art galleries, and the picturesque Rochdale Canal. A scenic car ride over the moors takes you to the splendid Parsonage Museum which commemorates the famous Bronte family. The area is a must for steam railway enthusiasts who will enjoy the thriving Worth Valley Railway. Skipton is also an easy and scenic car ride away.     Probably one of the best cottages we have ever stayed. Immaculately clean. Beds super comfortable, and loved the view of the mountains and sheep from our window. Log burner was a real treat as we stayed in February. Plenty of room to park our car which is always a bonus.
